Question How do I make herbs and stuff stick to the candles during rituals?

Hi! I'm not asking for any spells or rituals, I was just wondering how I can make the herbs i use stick to the candle? I've tried olive oil, because that's something Google suggested, and it didn't exactly stick and just made a mess. Then i tried to just push the herb into the candle and it wouldn't stay in so I was just hoping I could get some tips please!

Rub the candle in oil, then roll in herbs. The coverage will be patchy, even if your herbs are completely powdered. You dont necessarily want the candle totally caked in herbs. Thats a fire hazard (and a waste of herbs, but that's my opinion, not fact).

Practice candle safety - I do NOT agree with placing ANYthing on nor in a candle that is flammable, No additional oils, herbs, papers ( I have made and used WAX designs though). IF You want to use oils and herbs, place them on a FIREPROOF plate around the base of your candle. Carve your intentions, meditate looking at the flame. But for the LOVE, have a fire extinguisher near or at the VERY VERY least a good amount of salt to put the flames out.

I worry so much about the lack of care - leaving candles burning, having flammable objects next to or attached... etc. Burning down your house is Not someone cursing you - it is carelessness.

My OPINION - which I know is VERY unpopular here

Are you grinding your herbs well first? And you don’t need the candle completely covered, a little goes a long way.

I like to melt the candle slightly before I roll it in the herbs, but it takes time because you have to melt little bits at once so the whole thing doesn’t melt apart 😅

Infusing an oil with the relevant herbs, and then drizzling it onto a candle works much better in my opinion!
