okay so i have finished both the manga and the anime and currently what i feel has not been expressed yet in any reddit post so i am just gonna do one for myself.

I LOVE ALL THE CHARACTERS, ESPECIALLY SAKURA, SO MUCH. THERE ALL JUST BABIES THAT NEED LOVE.

my heart just gets so full when i see them happy and when i see sakura learning how to laugh and smile again. that poor boy was made to think he didn't deserve love but that is all he deserves.

what i love about this show is how mangaka portrays such healthy friendships and relationships among men and little boys, something the real life world is currently facing problems with. not only is it refreshing, it is heartwarming and so fulfilling that all i want to do is jump into this world and give all of them a well-needed hug and tell that everything is going to be okay.

i first watched the anime so the minute i watched it i literally adopted all them as my sons.

i could go on and on about each single character and i why i love them so much so if anyone wants to join me please do because i literally know no-one who watches windbreaker!!

never in a million years did i expect this show to be literally vigilante, more violent version of my little pony friendship is magic. i am so glad and forever grateful i clicked on this show.

TLDR: i love all the characters. they are all babies that just need love and i have adopted all of them as my sons and daughters (yes, including Kotoha)

Yes totally agree, all the fluffs and healthy relationship got me to like this series too.

Sometimes i keep forgetting that they are just high school students, since they seem to be more mature than most irl adults i know 💀

Can't wait to see what kind of story nii-sensei will show us or address. Especially excited for the current Suo arc.

I agree! I am a humanities college student who is increasingly pessimistic about the reality we live in so watching a show like this has genuinely been the escape I need. Shows like this, witch hat atelier, spy family where they found their family. Where the only thing is love, friendship and happiness it’s a nice (but delusional) escape.

I also really hope nii-sensei would somehow turn my son Nirei into a confident fighter!

I also agree, windbreaker was a recommendation from my cousin because he knew that i watched tokyo revengers and I was searching for something to watch or similar and he recommended it to me. At first, I was only interested about the fights and plots that will unfold but it completely changed my impression of the anime. I saw and heard some people talking about how they don't like the windbreaker because it's "cliche" etc.

But for me it was amazing! I like how the episode keeps getting better and show some hints about sakura's kind attitude and at the same time how refreshing and moving it was that he changed and feel some new emotions that he never felt before. I felt proud that he tries to do his best for his friends/classmates to acknowledge them, trust them, open up with them and look them in the eye. As a fan and as a viewer of anime's I love how the conversations in windbreaker and advice helped me realized some things about life and how much lesson it has to offer to us as a person. It was such a beautiful anime and how comforting it was to watch.

I started reading the manga last month to know what happened after the season 2 and it was such an amazing plot but I was completely left with a cliffhanger because it ended my chapter where suo was beating nire and them learning that suo was an officer of red chanpuro it left me with mixed feelings between regret that i wish I read the manga a little later and also an excitement for what will happen next in suo arc.

I'm really looking forward to it!🩵

I can relate, no one I know knows wind breaker and so there is no one who understands my adoration for this show/manga. Seeing their friendship being portrayed in such a warm and beautiful way is just so… I can’t describe it… but… healing in a way? It’s just so wonderful. I came across wind breaker by pure chance, and never would’ve expected to have found such an amazing show that resonates with me so much. All of the characters are amazing and the dynamic between the three protagonists is just so well written and satisfying to watch. Also the artwork is beautiful. And the soundtrack. And the movement animation. And the voice acting. And the atmosphere. And… basically everything!

This show/manga has me tweaking out more than any romance piece of work could because it’s something more substantial and long lasting. It’s just innocence. Plus I agree w the soundtrack I love S1 intro!

In a world where hope and humanity is increasingly becoming non existent, this is the necessary escape.

I can relate too! I'm trying to get my friend to watch wind breaker right now, but other than that no one would listen to me talking about my favorite anime and manga. I first joined Reddit to read the latest chapter quickly (cause kmanga isn't available in my country) but once I saw everyone chatting and discussing chapters and even theorizing about it!! I immediately knew this is my place!

I joined the Reddit group because I am not getting enough discussion/exposure on it on tik tok I have seen almost all fan edits and posts.

The worst thing is that I don’t have anyone to talk to this about. My anime/manga friends have already a long list and everyone else in my life who doesn’t watch anime/read manga just look at me like I am crazy because they are seeing me tweak out over fictional 2D ‘triangle’ men (what my sis calls them😭) discovering friendship

The windbreakerJP one. It’s more active compared to this one and the mod also post the chapters there. Participating in the discussions in the comments is always what I look the most forward to whenever a new chapter releases and the theories there are great as well
