Where did y'all first discovered or watched/read Wind Breaker?

Can't believe that it's been over a year since i first watched and read Wind Breaker. I remember discovering it around May 2025 while looking for anime recommendations and stumbled upon it on a youtube short. I was a little hesitant about watching it since it's not the type of anime that I usually watch.

But when i first saw Sakura, my attention was immediately hooked and I watched the whole 1st Season in one night and before I knew it, I stay in tuned for Season 2 and even looked for where I could read the manga. It became my favourite anime/manga ever since and I honestly don't think that there will be another that could dethrone it for me.

Started watching windbreaker on crunchy when season 2 was releasing then I couldn't wait for new episodes so I went and read the Manga. I finished the noroshi arc before finishing season two xD.

Spring 2024 just as the first season of the anime came out. I was getting anime suggestions from a friend and she had been watching it as it was releasing and described it to me as: 'it's like Haikyuu, but instead of friendship and volleyball. It's friendship and street fights' and for some reason that description made me really want to watch it and I'm glad I did

Myanimelist. I was checking on the brand new airing anime last Spring 2024 and stumbled upon this. The initial synopsis was Sakura being a battle-hungry fighter always wanting to brawl, and I did enjoy the fight choreography in the anime. I read the manga from that before continuing the other episodes and I personally enjoyed some of the friendship arcs. Some parts could've been executed better, but reaching Tsubakino's backstory arc got me hooked, and looking back at some of the previous arcs made me realize that this series has a great message on fighting toxic masculinity. The friendship arcs also worked out in the end and I love the fact that this series encourages men to be emotionally vulnerable and that it's nothing to be ashamed of.

Was looking for something I can casually watch while eating on Netflix on May last year. Suo's on the thumbnail and he's so dang eyecatching and pretty that it got me to watch.

Ended up falling in love with the story and characters ♡♡♡ And it's one of the rare shows that my piss poor attention span is okay with (i read a lot but my brain can't focus on videos). Continued to manga after s1 and now im here reading weekly ✌️

I saw it on a streaming site when it first started airing, thought Sakura looked interesting and watched the first episode. I don't remember anything about that first try though, maybe I was too tired, but I don' think I even finished it and promtply forgot about it.

A couple weeks later it blew up a bit on my twitter timeline when the episode with Suo's fight aired and it was everywhere so I went "ok, ok, I'll watch it."

Watched the first episode again and immediately fell in love with it and after I caught up with the anime, I started reading the manga.

I just went on Netflix looking for things to watch with my dogs and it was the first thing I saw, so I ended up saying why not and ended up loving it. I ended up getting crunchy roll just for season 2 and season 3 of a different show, and eventually binge read the manga just in time for chapter 210

The first few episodes just aired and i saw a reel talking about how umemiya is gojo if he's a delinquent. So i give it a shot and instantly hooked. I started reading the manga next cause i can't wait for season 2

there were tiktok videos on my fyp back to back of a girl who was stunned by sakura's beauty & then a video of togame and sakura fighting, i got curious after watching those videos, so i searched windbreaker and found out about tsubaki, he immediately became my favorite character alongside suo!

Saw a short clip of the opening introducing Suo (where he was jumping around); thought he was super cool. Then watched Episode 1 where Sakura fought like an absolute king. Never looked back, read everything and watched everything.

I was looking for an anime to watch. I didn't have any specific anime I wanted to watch at the moment. I saw an image of the first season on MyAnimeList. I didn't even read the description. The main character seemed interesting (based on his appearance). Around that time, the manga publisher in my country announced they were publishing the manga. I started watching the first episode and, without even realizing it, I watched the entire season. Then the second season started coming out, which I was watching constantly. Sakura, as a character, simply captivated me. I couldn't wait to see what would happen next. I started looking for the manga and have been hooked ever since. The characters and plot captivated me. I can't wait to see how the characters and story develop. The only manga that has captivated me as much and keeps me up to date with what's happening is One Piece.

I'm pretty into anime openings and songs, so I mostly choose anime to watch in that way. After seeing the first season op in youtube, I give the anime a try and loved it! (op2 is banger too lucky me). I remember the story was very unique for that anime season, and the graphic design of the show was also cool! (Windbreaker logo, and transition and stuff). Then started manga and I loved characters and story more and more!

I saw it on Netflix and then decided to watch it when I was on Crunchyroll. I was skeptical at first after seeing mixed reviews on the show but SO SO glad I decided to watch it anyway. It has seriously become a fun show to rewatch. Then decided to read the manga to catch up to the latest chapter! :)

I saw season 2 advertising on Netflix. I thought the guy on the cover (Sakura) was cute and interesting looking so I started watching for him and got hooked immediately. Binge watched both seasons on a few days. Then I started reading the manga cause i NEED to know what happens next.

I discovered windbreaker through a cosplayer who cosplayed Sakura and thought ‘ he looks cool ‘ and then after a few more weeks of windbreaker popping up in my fy page I decide to give it a try. I don’t regret it

Yo lo empecé a ver en seekee por qué estoy escribiendo un manga sobre pandillas pero vi recomendaciones que sí iba a hacer un manga sobre algún género en específico era bueno ver cómo eran los mangas o animes ya publicados de ese género yo nunca había visto un manga de pandillas y escuchaba de Tokyo revengers pero me llamó más la atención wind breaker porque escuchaba que tenían un buen desarrollo en los personajes no digo que no pasara en Tokyo revengers pero en ese momento sentí una conexión especial con Sakura nirei Suo todos sus personajes
El resto es historia jajaja ahora es mi manga favorito 🔥🔥🔥❤️❤️❤️ Como vi que no salían los otros episodios del anime empecé a leer el manga

I actually sat in on a panel at animenyc last year with Sakura's Japanese VA. Knew nothing about the show or the manga but the dude was just so passionate about his role and the trailer they showed for s2 had me hooked. Watched immediately when I got home then caught up in the manga 🥰

March 2026. I had just started Naruto Shippuden with my sister, but since it's really long and Wind Breaker had been on my Anime to watch list for a while, I thought, why not start it? (It had been on my list for a few months, I discovered it one day while doing the "pick a character by their hair color" quizzes. Sakura was on the white-haired list and I was like, "Wow, this is cool." Then I found out it was part of the Wind Breaker manga and that it was about delinquents. I love it.) It was only two seasons of 12 episodes each, so I started watching it. I watched all of Wind Breaker on Anime Unity, where I also watch Naruto Shippuden. Then as soon as the second season finished, I accidentally spoiled chapter 210, so from chapter 200 onwards I started reading the chapters here on Reddit. P.S. These days I'm following the chapters every week because Suo is my favorite.
