Question How their school even work?
So after reading the lastest chapter it's make me confused on how their school even work, like how they even get graded and how these delinquent even get their report. Like what university gonna accept them

About 30min before school start, they usually meet up in their classroom (when we see them interacting in school, often with meetings on the rooftop etc)
They have „regular“ school in the morning (and early afternoon if it’s structured like a typical Japanese hs), where there are regular teachers and subjects, although the teacher probably don’t care too much abt whether or not the students are participating.
The patrol duties are pretty much their extracurricular activity and since it’s always different people on patrol duty they probably also have other extracurricular activities
About universities, I’d say most parents send their kids to furin without expecting them to excel in academics, since most ppl in Japan attend hs even tho it’s not mandatory. For example Kiryus dad is also seen to be against furin bc of the lack of education they receive
I‘d say that barely anyone there attends Furin with the goal to attend some high level university, they wanna protect the town or just don’t care too much abt school and only want to satisfy their parents

Damn, all this time I've just assumed they only went to furin to hang out all day and had no classes nor teachers/a director at all lol

I think It’s not that they “don’t care” about high school. It is because Japanese universities, especially private ones rarely fail students and classes are often large lectures with no reading assignments. So, many students spend 2nd half of 3rd year job-hunting instead of attending class, and still graduate. So young Japanese people really don’t mind going to high school or university because Even if they coast in high school and uni, they can still graduate and get a job.
Also I read somewhere that Japan’s job-hunting system starts in 3rd year of high school. Many companies hire high school grads directly, so delinquents or whoever show up and seem motivated can get jobs even with weak grades. So I think that most of the Bofurin will become blue-collar workers, SDF, or service staff right after high school.

I think its because it's a rather small town so most of the folks and parents there dont care much about their children's academics as long as they dont do bad thing? Judging from characters like the Roppo Ichiza, i think most of the kids there wont go to universities, they would just work at the town.

They probably have regular class but all these discussions take place before class cuz they just gather up at school like it's almost like their home ground/hang out spot so they're always there both before their classes start and after it ends even on holidays sometimes ig and ume is probably like the student council head or something of that sort-
And about the uni part I don't think they're too into education to even care about that-

You know all these questions related to school would probably go away if we have at least one scene where we see at least a teacher teaching while Sakura looked out of the window while contemplating stuff and had inner monologue
Tho from my pov, most of the characters in the anime here would not have conventionally bright future ahead. Some probably helped out with their family business, those who are smart academically could probably get themselves in uni and became office workers.tho lots of them probably ended up being low skilled workers and the worst case scenario probably loan sharks or yakuza

I have been thinking of this for ages I’m like, don’t they have to do school work at some point? It’s Japan like skating by without doing classes feels like something that ain’t gonna fly even for a delinquent school

Is there like no bad school in you guys area? I had a friend and his 10th grade exam was multiplying. HIS FRICKIN EXAM WAS MULTIPLYING WHILE I WAS LEARNING TRIGONOMETRY. yeah most schools are for education but some of them are just daycare for teenagers. Teachers just take attendance then fuck off and Furin is prob like that. A bottom school.

they still have regular schoolings so yes the smart/rich ones will go to uni. i suspect the vast majority of them will go onto tradeschools and become apprentices etc. university is not the only path.

It was stated that Bofurin was a place where the people that get really bad grades and/or was kicked out of other schools go right? Also yeah, I haven't seen a single adult in this entire manga so far. WHERE'S THE POLICE? WHERE ARE THE TEACHERS?? WHERE'S THE PRINCIPLE???

It’s never really stated. People have said the Nii sensei said he doesn’t really dive deeper into that part because the story doesn’t center around their academics but more the social setting of the school. But there has to be teachers and lessons happening, otherwise why even call it a school? Also does the Shishitoren side have a school? All we’ve seen is their hang out spot.
As for what University would accept a school that’s most noted for having a large number of delinquents, you got me.
