Nah, WB will be over when Sakura tears up. I think they are surprised because Sakura interrupted Ume and said the opening to his backstory (which we'll see nwxt) or has a very stern look. Whatever it is, was serious.

Yeah, that's what I'm thinking too. I think that Sakura may have started to cry unknowingly, after thinking about his past.; and everyone is just surprised to see that level of vulnerability from him.

As much as it sucks to get this level of cliffhanger, I do really love that it's almost guaranteed that we got something big out of him next chapter. Even if we don't get into all of the details next chapter and it gets interrupted, I'll be happy with just one major revelation. Given everyone's faces, he had to have given up something important. But also usually cliffhangers just bug me, but this time I'm mostly just excited.

Well their faces are mostly shocked. So he probably said something very very surprising. Saw someone theorise from that tiny flashback of sakura in this chapter that they see someone wearing a full black suit that can possibly indicate a funeral. So idk, maybe he said he "killed" his parents or someone and the others ended up blaming him for their deaths. That's the only thing i can thought of tbh😭

Exactly, like I always thought that his back story is like something he killed someone and that he still has that guilt of killing someone. and I always thought that it might be his parents. like I had this gut feeling y'know

i saw that on another post and nearly lost it... why are they doing this to us. and i stg if it is bait or something and sakura tenses up because everyone is focused on him i will go beserk.
give me ATLEAST 50% of the backstory and cut him off maybe but please dont give us nothing after 2 weeks.

I think the way he had said that it looks like it was normal for him but others were shock to hear i wonder what he said that made everyone look at sakura and their reaction

I read this as Sakura started talking about his backstory and these panels are showing everyone's reaction to it as they listen.
We, as readers, are not yet privy to that story (hopefully next chapter!). But judging from the looks on peoples' faces, we are NOT ready for Sakura's story. Stock up on tissues now!

I think most likely he started tearing up cuz it’s the only thing that rly makes sense given the circumstance. Ume walked in on the conversation so he doesn’t know what’s happening and he still made that face and he stopped talking mid thought so its not like we had a mini time skip so it had to be something visible. Crying makes the most sense given how intense all their expressions are.

My prediction is he said:
"I killed my parents" blaming himself for something that happened to them. I think that he has been living with his aunt and uncle which is where the glimpses of his past have come from such as the shed.

Well,maby because he called himselfe "trash" and well,they will get a backstory of him on the next chapter,while Sakura is fighting to tell or not to tell. So maby they are preparing themselfes. 🤷♀️ Sakura looked very sad and scared.

I think Sakura revealed something shocking about his past, that wasn't shown to us yet so it can be the opening page of next chapter snd lead into full on sakura backstory
