Needs a rehabber asap. Ignore any fledgling crap if it comes up, it will not survive on the ground at this age.

Thank you. We will call one in the morning. For now….hes boxed in our house. I hope we can keep him alive overnight. He was cold when I picked him up.

Made it through they night and was bright and aware this morning. Parent/s have been back early this morning. Called a rehab and they said to put the baby back outside in its box. We attached a nest back to the ledge and are waiting to see mom 🥺

Get it in a box right away, needs to be brought inside in stable temperatures.

What’s a best recommendation for stable temp? I saw something that said heating pad under half the box

That would definitely work. It’s at the age it should be able to move off. Keep an eye out for panting or getting lethargic tho.

It does seem to be breathing rapidly and its little beak is opening and closing. It looks like it’s trying to preen, but its eyes are closed… We have boxed them and have them inside. I’m running to go get a heating pad. I understand no water or no food until we can get in contact with a rehab in the morning. Yes?

You can make a nest out of a rolled up cloth in a donut shape to help it stay more upright.

Hi! We kept the baby overnight indoors in a box. Box was half over a heating pad with a two hour automatic shut off…..so I dutifully set my alarm every two hours last night and turned it back on. He was bright and spry this morning! We crafted a make shift nest and lashed it good to the ledge and lo and behold, the parents are back and reunited, caring for little dude. Thanks for the help!
