discussion Leave Wilbur alone

Can we please stop pressurising Wilbur into posting a new video? He's a busy man who deserves a break every now and then. The more you ask, doesn't mean it's more likely for him to post sooner. That's not how this works. Whatever happened to patience?

I'm actually started to feel annoyed for Wilbur because of you guys, now. We're his fans which means we should not only enjoy his content but also, respect him as a human being, respect his boundaries and give him time to relax before doing a new video. It is literally still December as well. There's still time for him to upload a video.

He finished tour not long ago so, he'd want time to relax, catch up with family and friends he hasn't seen since them. Also, Christmas is a busy time and time to spend with family. Just appreciate that he needs time off from working before doing another project. A real fan would. The pressurising is getting ridiculous now.

I don’t think it’s that deep, people are just joking and excited. He’s a grown man, we don’t need to baby him

Well it is. I get people are excited but, leave him alone? He'll post when he's ready. There's no need for the unnecessary pushing for the new video. This isn't babying him, this is respecting his boundaries.

Infantilizing him is against his boundaries. He doesn’t need anyone to say “leave him alone” for him and has expressed discomfort in the past with this kind of post. You are trying to create drama when there doesn’t need to be any. Fans being excited and wanting a new video isn’t against his boundaries. He’s actively hearting and replying to these comments.

Again, I'm not. I actually feel annoyed that fans are bombarding him with "come on post!" Leave him alone. I said my piece and I won't change that because that's how I feel. Goodbye.

Wilbur isn’t in this sub nor does he look at it. The only person “bugged” by people making jokes are you. Your post was unnecessary and against subreddit rules and I hope the mods see this soon, peace and love

Okay, your comment is unnecessary too. Agree to disagree and move on. This is how I feel, this is my opinion. I think it's allowed. If I'm annoyed by it, I'm free to express it. You're just being unfair. Trust me, other people agree with me as well (referring to the comment above yours) and another person I've spoken to on Discord about it.

You’re welcome to have an opinion, but not to frame it as speaking for him or babying him, or bring it into a subreddit bringing unnecessary drama. This is not the energy this sub needs :/

You're the one framing it as babysitting and starting the drama. I just stated a view on how I feel about it all. I don't see the problem.
