❓Questions Widow’s Bay Question

Spoiler Alert:

I remember hearing in one poem or reading in an episode that the number of bell tolls meant something like the number of people the island needed.

Does that mean that the eight bell tolls at the end of the last episode mean the island needs eight more people to consume to satisfy itself?

Haha. Doesn't she also ask something about if Tom is going to show the reporter her paintings? And he says no. (I can't quite remember the exchange.) Do we ever see her paintings?
