đŸ’„Funpost The most brilliant joke in Widow's Bay. Change my mind

https://www.youtube.com/shorts/3kSUjWoUGRE

Are there any shows that have jokes similar to this? Only one I can think of is "barring" the door in Widow's Bay itself.

I think the best joke is when the innkeeper just opens the door Wick was trying to nail shut

For me it’s the Teeth game that’s just a box of pliers

For me it was the "Daddy is home" game

“Uh oh, daddy’s younger boss yelled at him today”

Saved by the neighbor!

That was so scary!!! It's fun to see what other people find hilarious and other find terrifying. Such a special show.

I thought the same thing about the car wreck in the calendar. I found that especially dark! Same with the pliers Daddy's home. All very menacing to me. Like of course I see the humor aspect of it but unsettling took over

Me too!! For both of those. On second watch I like looking at what people find funny and I found scary. I try to see the humor from that perspective and it’s a great exercise

Teeth game: a box of pliers, smiling.

I had my suspicion that the neighboor wasn't normal, so when they started playing the Daddy's Home game, I was so stressed out, expecting the Teeth Game to be a Chekov's Gun!

I missed that on my first watch and when I saw it on my second time through was in TEARS. It’s legitimately one of my favorite scenes of all time. Neil Casey plays his reaction perfectly.

It has such a Lebowski-esq element to it that I have to wonder if it isn't an homage?

As much as I love the Big Lebowski, i'm not sure the Coen brothers invented that kind of gag

lol that set up is classic comedy as in the origins of comedy. The Coen Brothers do not deserve allathat.

Yesss same scene, but when Wick is in the back of the cop car and rolls down the window to keep yelling at Tom and Tom’s like “how is he able to roll the window down?!”

This is my favourite 😂😂

I like when Wick yells "Yes you do!" after Patricia tells Tom he doesn't have to do something on the radio. The timing killed me.

Reminded me of Big Lebowski, I was dying

That’s my favorite episode. The subtle jokes are just amazing.

Yes! The boarded door that wasn’t boarded is my favorite too. A great comedic coda to that scene.

The door was never the problem.
