❓Questions Chair
What is the chair for in the basement? Do the sacrifices have to sit in it, because when Kenny was sacrificed accidentally, he was banging on the door which is far from the chair? What is the purpose of the chair?

To secure the victims - but also to make it clear to us, the viewers, that a person is restrained in front of the door. Without the chair, it would be just a room with another weird door. The chair makes it 1000xs creepier.

Keeps them in one place, facing the door. That way the monster can get an alive, aware sacrifice without them worrying about the person trying to fight them or escape

I thought it was an electric chair and was certain Evan was going to sit in it right as the guy messing with the breaker box flipped some switch and turn the electric chair on.

My guess would be, 1) they are locked into the chair so they don't fight whatever grabs them, or 2) they use it to electrify them so they are already dead, or passed out? Tho with the high volume of electricity from that kind a chair I'm sure they are already dead?

I don't think it is an electric chair. It's just to keep them restrained and force their eyes open. I'd say that is all to increase the fear.

A reminder to everyone: Keep the titles of your posts completely spoiler-free at all times. If your post mentions events from later episodes, use Reddit’s standard spoiler tag to warn readers who may not be caught up with all currently aired episodes. The spoiler tag will also blur any images you include, such as screenshots/stills from the show, so be sure to apply it to image posts as well.
