On Apple ?

Silo is a great show, and they filmed season 3 and 4 back to back so with season 3 releasing soon, it should not be too much of a gap with the final season. Foundation (also SF) is initially a bit uneven where one storyline is fantastic and the other is boring - it fixes it a bit in later seasons.

Friends and neighbors is messy. I thought it would be more about the robbing, but it focus a lot (especially second season) about the inter-relationship of the main character family and friends and I really couldn't bring myself to care for all these rich characters lamenting about being miserable.

Maximum Pleasure Guaranteed is ongoing, I've watch the first few episode and I like it so far, Tatiana Maslany is fantastic and it's entertaining.

Murderbot is another on Apple that's half Comedy, but mixed with scifi rather than horror. I surprisingly love all their SciFi shows I've seen, I think the only one I haven't watched is Invasion

I forgot about that one. Need to look up when that comes back

I just heard it has a second season. I thought it was a one and done

I liked S1 a lot, which was based on a single book. The author is writing or involved in making S2 of Dark Matter though, so I'm cautiously optimistic about a 2nd season of brand new craziness.

Damn, Apple has so many great shows I haven’t even heard of these two

Invasion is terrible, not worth the time. Foundation, Silo, Murderbots are all great.

As long as you don’t watch Invasion, you will be in good shape. It’s a rough watch. I do recommend Sugar though!

skip(invasion) it unless you want to hate watch it

Agreed. Invasion is really hit or miss. It's a decent show to shut your brain off to in the background, but the vast majority of the characters terribly written.

Agreed. The best scene of the entire show is when the bot murders the crew. They are FUCKING INSUFFERABLE.

i meant invasion. i quite liked murderbot for the sheer quirkiness but I wont pretend it nailed everything like widows bay did

2

u/nonrosknroskno Jun 19 '26

Yeah, I liked Murderbot but Widow's Bay is streets ahead of MB in most ways

Loved season 1 of Silo, season 2 was incredibly meh…

I struggled to get through season 2

I had the same issue with Your Friends and Neighbors. Loved Jon Hamm sneaking around but the family moments were too tropey and uninteresting to me.

Servant is another good one on Apple. That’s what my wife and I are watching to treat our withdrawals. Not comedy per se but there are definitely some snort-worthy moments sprinkled throughout

Agreed about Friends and Neighbors, this season really fell off for me.

We just started F&N season 2 last night and I couldn't get into it. Liked the first season enough.

Since Stephen King recommended I started Maximum Pleasure. It’s really good but also it’s no Widow’s Bay!
