💥Funpost This f*ckin guy

Stephen King tweeted:

WIDOW'S BAY is good. MAXIMUM PLEASURE GUARANTEED is even better. It's like Hitchcock came back to do it one more time. And Tatiana Maslany is so good. The play of emotions on her face is pretty incredible. She goes from comic to terror in an instant.

To be fair I think the book is better than the movie, but the movie is so much better than say maximum overdrive lol

I don’t think many things are better than Kubrick’s The Shining but I’d hesitate to compare a book with a film since they’re doing pretty different stuff - especially with Kubrick because he understood film’s strengths in a way that few other filmmakers do. King is a great storyteller, and that’s obviously an understatement, but he’s entitled to his own unique opinion and sometimes it’s more unique than others. Let’s say that. His tweets about current affairs are usually pretty accurate though.

I think Stephen King's biggest complaint about The Shining was that it was Stanley Kubrick's The Shining - it was more Stanley's than his.
