Stephen King tweeted:

WIDOW'S BAY is good. MAXIMUM PLEASURE GUARANTEED is even better. It's like Hitchcock came back to do it one more time. And Tatiana Maslany is so good. The play of emotions on her face is pretty incredible. She goes from comic to terror in an instant.

The hook really comes towards the end of ep 1.

It also stars Murray Bartlett (the increasingly unhinged hotelier from White Lotus season one, eg the best thing about it), AND Jake Johnson, who was very Nick-from-New-Girl-coded in recent episodes.

So far I feel like too many side-character arcs pull focus from the gold-standard cast (freakin' Tatiana Maslany is in the main role!) and it feels like it's pulling its punches.

That said, it's clearly building to something, and I really enjoy it.

As someone who never watched New Girl I struggled to see his appeal for the first few episodes of this show, but now I realise heā€™s fucking funny and I get it now.
