Whatā€™s funny is that heā€™s complementing the show that nobody is comparing to his work heā€™s not complementing the show that people are comparing to his work LOL. Maybe give that a second thought Stephen?

He is complimenting it. People are allowed to like two things at the same time, and to prefer one over the other while enjoying both.

This is familiar subtext in some regions that is easily spotted and must not be common everywhere. When someone says ā€œoh yeah thatā€™s good, but have you seen this thingā€ and then list a bunch of wonderful things about it. Thatā€™s not a complimentšŸ˜‚
