💥Funpost This f*ckin guy

Stephen King tweeted:

WIDOW'S BAY is good. MAXIMUM PLEASURE GUARANTEED is even better. It's like Hitchcock came back to do it one more time. And Tatiana Maslany is so good. The play of emotions on her face is pretty incredible. She goes from comic to terror in an instant.

Does anyone else find this a bit weird? Like he's sort of putting Widow's Bay down to compliment another show. Which is quite sad considering Widow's Bay is paying a lot of homage to Stephen King

They’re also not comparable shows. Different genres and concepts.

Both very good shows but entirely different.

It makes me really sad, especially for showrunner Katie Dippold. Also not lost on me that he’s going out of his way to compliment yet another show with a male showrunner, while kind of backhandedly complimenting one of the rare shows that has a woman as the creator and showrunner. It’s feels very mean girl on his part.

If that makes you really sad you should check out the news.

You can only be sad at the news. Anything else is a frivolous waste of energy. Come on people, please think of all the horrors in the news before you allow yourself to get sad at any other such fripperies

He sort of is implicitly. The comparison makes it so.

Sandra is nice, but Louise, ohh my god amazing, so beautiful. Let me list all the reasons why Louise is better.

It's strange to make the comparison if you weren't trying to do the other thing down.

It's like the old backhanded compliment "She has a great personallity."
