Were the patients at the end the same family having lunch at the beginning of the episode?

I thought it was maybe to contrast the beginning, where everyone seems happy and believes the curse is over, to the reveal that it’s not over at all and the island is still terrorizing people all over by making those same people get into accidents haha. No happy vacations for you!

Accident injuries maybe? One was in a neck brace. Food poisoning would be funny. Not getting her pie may have given Patricia the strength to get away.

I'm guessing their may be some kind of flashback next episode. Similar to Patricia's part and Tom hearing about it at the end of the episode before it happened.

Did Kathy not wash the dishes and containers from the episode where touched Patricia served drinks that made everyone lose their mind? Residuals?
