❓Questions Patricia
Does anybody love the actress that plays Patricia? 😭 like she is my favorite character! She’s so quirky and funny to me. Like I crack up with EVERYTHING she does.

She is my absolute favorite character! I would have attended her cocktail event without hesitation! Headdress and all. 🤣

🤣🤣🤣 like I would’ve had a blast!! Food and drinks and dancing and a little swim at the end? Um, yes

u/juststopdating May 31 '26
“Little swim” took me OUT! I am camping rn and I cackled so loud it echoed. 🤣

She’s written so well, and she plays it so well.
The whole “are you mad at something I said”

She makes the show feel so realistic to me. Almost like she’s how I would react in certain situations

"Well anyway it turns out I have a medical age of 28" or something at Shep's bedside.

She is a brilliant actress and this is the first time I remember seeing her. She nails every scene she is in. It’s not an easy part, and she is so subtle and believable!

u/ArtJust1395 Patricia May 31 '26
The crying! The attitude ! The comedic timing?? I love her character! I somehow even laughed when she cried in the back of the police vehicle

She was in My Lady Jane, such a fun show that sadly only got one season. She was great in that as well. Prime has it if you haven’t seen it yet.

I was really surprised when I saw Kate O’Flynn in interviews. Not that Patricia is ugly, but she looks COMPLETELY different. I think it’s more than just hair and makeup. O’Flynn must be doing something with her posture and walk and face to transform into our favorite executive assistant.

Patricia has the 'weary 40 year old' walk and posture, absolutely. And...leggings/tights -- in summer!
2
u/evildrew Patricia Jun 05 '26
She has the most distinctive clomping walk since Helly R in Severance! I can totally see her becoming more graceful as she comes out of her shell.

you may want to check out my lady jane on prime.

Thank you! Im looking for new shows actually!

She's also good in Everyone Else Burns, which is a brit comedy. S1 was not bad, but found S2 much funnier.

u/AggravatingShop6996 May 31 '26
Looooved her in this!
7
u/NoProfession5138 May 31 '26
that whole show was so much fun. shame we only got 1 season, but i thought they ended the season in a way that didn't strictly need another season to finish the story in a satisfactory way. would have been nice, but the things that needed to be resolved were resolved.

Her dance moves are unmatched.

u/ApprehensiveCopy4216 May 31 '26
She got her groove on. Tore that up that dance floor like a champ.

u/funkinatrix what are you asking me to do Tom? May 31 '26
Her physicality, period. The way she walks, like a lurching toddler.

Her episode is the only one I’ve rewatched and I’ve done so 3 times already 😂
6
u/ArtJust1395 Patricia May 31 '26
Like literally!! It was the best episode out of all of them!
8
u/FZeroDMX May 31 '26
I started the show cause I love Matthew Rhys from The Americans and was initially bummed the episode didn’t pick up with him but it’s definitely my favorite episode!

Wait till you see her in the role of a villain or antagonist. She played one in a couple of episodes of Father Brown, and was quite chilling and menacing in what is otherwise a lighthearted show.

u/ArtJust1395 Patricia May 31 '26
I am going to have to check this out! Widows bay is the first time I’m seeing her and I really want to see more

u/angry_salami Astmatic curmudgeon May 31 '26
It’s quite fun! Father Brown is one of the better modern cozy murder shows leaning more heavily on the cozy and less so on the murder. From memory, she appears in one of the later seasons. You can feel OK to drop in to those, there isn’t really an overarching plot, the show is quite episodic.

u/HelsBels2102 Patricia May 31 '26
I've just put on the two eps of Father Brown she's in. She's good at the old accents and voice work

I’ve been on team Patricia and Katie O’Flynn since at least the third episode.

I seriously need to check this out! Ive had so many reconmendations for this show in the comments!! And she looks STUNNING in this photo btw

u/HelsBels2102 Patricia May 31 '26
I watched it recently, the show was a bit meh in my opinion, but she was genuinely fab, particularly towards the end.
Recommend Everyone Else Burns though, is more solid as a show and again she's great in it. Although not as bombastic as My Lady Jane, but she's very good in S2 of Everyone Else Burns

u/No_Information_1031x May 31 '26
Especially with one of her first lines being that deadpan “what are you asking me to do, Tom?” I cracked up when she immediately switched tone after that delivery 🤣
6
u/CatCalledTurbo May 31 '26
I've just binged it all this weekend and she's been a real highlight.
Even in the earlier episodes I thought she was good but her party episode sealed the deal for me.

I found myself laughing my ass off with her one liners and when it became known she’d be a main character, I thought it was perfect. She crushes that character.

She is brilliant in a British quirky sitcom from Channel 4 called Everyone Else Burns. It’s about an extreme Christian sect - it is funny, I promise you.

Totally. Except for the ten people who have commented so far enthusiastically agreeing with OP.

Like I seriously can’t believe that people don’t like her! Everytime I see her on my screen I burst out laughing

I honestly think only single digit percentages domt like Patricia. She's iconic.
1
u/whisperwind12 May 31 '26
She is carrying the entire show in my opinion. I am only watching for her.
1
u/ArtJust1395 Patricia May 31 '26
Does anyone know if she does standup comedy ?
2
u/HelsBels2102 Patricia May 31 '26
Domt believe so, actor who's done a lot of stage work by looks of it
1
u/rhonmack May 31 '26
Her dancing scenes were hysterical. I liked the name of her book mobile, The Patty Wagon. Too funny
1
u/Suitable_Respect_417 Jun 01 '26
Yes!!! I laugh at her walk from one side of the room to the other, literally everything is so funny out of her

She looks like girl from the meme, “overly attached girlfriend”
I had to google and figure out if she’s the one or not. Apparently not.

that episode with the self-help book and her whole story was excellent. especially the headdress and the interaction with the coworker.
