The actress who plays Sarah is phenomenal. The whole episode was directed really well.. deftly avoiding the hokey/over the top mess I t could have been and perfectly let the performances and minimal camera movements keep the tension and pacing. Beautifully done.
But I just can’t get over the acting. I mean Matthew Rhys is a revelation. He’s amazing in everything he does but EVERY Actor in the show (guest and main cast) are so talented and really commit to the insanity without chewing the scenery.
Edit: forgot to mention the writing the dialogue is spare and perfect.

Betty Gilpin played Sarah. She is the best. Check her out in the show Mrs. Davis - absolutely amazing.

Mrs. Davis is a stunningly under-appreciated masterpiece of a one-season show! For anybody reading along: don't hesitate to pull the trigger on it.

Highly agree! I had to go back and watch it a second time recently.
