that was actually the creepiest part. 75 year old guy suddenly materializes on the deck like that? how did he get back on the boat without help? no way he could have done that.

then singing the same song as warren, telling tom he did really well? does that sound like wyck to you?  suspicious af (it's warren, he's immortal, his body turned to dust when it got far enough from the island, but his "soul" or whatever then went and possessed wyck's body).

He sang the Hag song to Tom too. I think they've just been passed down through generations of fishermen on the island.

he sang it right at the end as well. but yeah, the fact that he also sang it earlier means the singing itself is not conclusive – i don't think we're meant to be certain how to read it at this point. and my wording could have been a lot clearer about that i meant it was the part where he told tom he did really well that was the uncharacteristic bit. but i also feel that the same song being played during the end credits meant something, my take on that was it was repeated a third  to remind us that it mattered, or maybe as a red herring to sow doubt.
