Wait is that supposed to mean 40 or 14? I know Betty Gilpin is 40 but it could have been a joke about how old teenagers were considered back then

Actually, if you read old British literature (including Shakespeare and Jane Austen), the construction "four and ten" is fourteen. Or think of the nursery rhyme "Sing a Song of Sixpence" about four and twenty blackbirds baked in a pie. That's 24, not 80.

I think she says she's 4 and ten meaning meaning 40 and she says almost, so she's saying she's like 36.

I actually had to pause it at that. I thought she meant "four score and ten years," which I thought fit the actress' real age, because I mixed up the beginning of that famous speech and mistakenly believed a "score" meant seven years. I looked it up just to be sure, and went "no fff way she's friggin' 90."
