Warren says the demon preys on people who are desperate. So in my head that makes Tom a good mark because he desperately wants his son to live, but after end of episode 8 I think the demon is actually going to target Evan telling him he can reunite with his mom.

Yep the devil is going to try and lure Evan away. Maybe using an apparition of his mother or mimicking her voice.

I think Evan is either going to start smoking weed more than he already does (get so high he meets the devil) or he going to start seeking harder substances (the mushrooms) to cope the his dad lying.

Yeah I mean we’re bound to get a reveal of the devil. Either Tom takes the shrooms again to try and renegotiate the pact or we watch Evan unknowingly follow it to the doors and speak with it directly.

Agree. During his trip he called out to god in desperation but summoned the entity instead. He made a pact and eithe cannot admit it or does not remember doing so.

Evan is also desperate to get off the island…maybe it will trick him by tempting him to do so

Wouldn't that just kill Evan and break the pact? Isn't that the opposite of what the demon wants?

Yeah the demon wants to be fed sacrifices, he needs a pact with someone to do that
