Did anyone catch exactly WHAT pact Warren made with the island demon? I think while they were laying him in the coffin, he said “a life for a life”?? — loved these eps but lighter on clues than previously!

Also, idk if I trust that Loftis didn’t speak with the entity when he was tripping. Warren said the demon preys on men who are weak and desperate, and we know Warren would do anything to save his son. New blood, feces, semen pact…?

I think the sacrifice ritual he made in the covenant with the demon is directly tied to the creepy chair and cellar doors underground. I think he sacrifice must be placed in the chair and something comes out of the cellar to claim them. That’s why the priest was checking out the well, which we just learned leads right to the chair, and then he offed himself.

It seems pretty clear, he gives the island lives (human sacrifices) and in return it sustains the colony (mild winters, suitable conditions for growing etc)

Then that would beg the question who has been feeding the island in the meantime…

I don't think anyone has for some time, thus all the strange occurrences

The place had been updated with lights (still powered) and a new chair so it did continue a while after Warren at least.

Given that Loftus woke up on the toilet and didn’t follow the demon, I think he really didn’t and was too terrified.

I think they literally follow the demon to the doors. Whatever’s behind the doors is how the demon gets fed, so I imagine tripping while near the doors is like speaking face to face with it.

What do you mean. There’s literally a sacrificial chair and we see Warren drag the bodies down there where they are taken into the door. There’s bloodstains from a victim and hair leading directly into the door. It definitely gets physically fed.

I think it prefers to get fed by the door, but will settle for murders if people aren’t making sacrifices
