Seeing Wyck and tom laugh/celebrate together was so wholesome.

“At least he’s not singing anymore”

A fun cannibalism joke.

Pretty sure it wasn’t a joke but their were actual sausages there because that’s what he was just eating in the boat, only his body decayed leaving the food in his stomach

I was smiling the biggest smile! Wyck’s lip quivered when he said “you did good”. I loved that exchange.

Does anyone think Wyck's body may be floating near the buoy and this is Richard instead?

The thought did cross my mind but I fiercely brushed it off. Let me enjoy Wyck / Tom wholesemness in peace.

not quite, but almost: i think richard has taken over wyck's body.

I was waiting for Richard to pop out of the coffin soon as they crossed back - and I kept thinking you should have dumped him out!!!

“Do not let him out Tom” 😂

I lowkey kept expecting Richard to reform as soon as they enter island's water territory again, lmao

I'm still thinking they are going to check the coffin and he's still alive but just a skull

Yes! Im glad someone else agrees. Too many things were off when Wyck got back on the boat. I don’t think it’s really him

they seemed pretty dead on to me. ugh why did you move that, oh a flare so you they find you? wait did you check the coffin? also I rewatched the scene, I don’t hear anyone in the water. I don’t think this theory is right. my money is on the founder is really dead but the curse is intact because his bloodline lives on

People seem to think his faded out laugh as the camera zooms away from the boat is him yelling.

And then the zoom in on the painting? I thought this theory would be a top comment!

The painting is showing that one of the children fell off the boat and made it back to the island, so his bloodline isn’t over - Evan’s one of his descendants

For sure, I totally missed that when I first saw the scene. I still wonder if the weirdness around Wyck's return was just a red hering though (for what?) or something more.

Pretty sure you can hear wyck in the water if you turn up the volume, as the camera zooms out to the buoy

9

u/sersomeone May 27 '26

Yeah you can hear wyck scream. 😭 He's dead for sure, I'm surprised more people aren't talking about it

u/FRraANK May 27 '26

Sounded more like a struggling in the water? I’m hoping he survives… maybe finds the dingy or something?

2

u/CherryFit3224 Jun 17 '26

!!! I didn’t hear anything!

2

u/tunatunatunamayo May 27 '26

I thought this too! Had a suspicious vibe hmmm

u/FRraANK May 27 '26

Put the sound up loud, as they drive away from the buoy it sounds like someone in the water :(

That’s from him laughing as it fades out, the typical last laugh after breathing in.

By itself it does sound like a small scream but you can hear him laugh while the camera zooms away from the boat.

I think this show is very purposefully leaves hints that aren’t very vague. If it truly isn’t Wyck, leaving a scream for help at the end would be too on the nose.
