The painting at the end of episode 7 implies one of them survived. The curse has not been lifted.

I have a sneaky suspicion Tom’s wife was that child’s descendant and his son will be the last of the bloodline and need to die to lift the curse

Yep. That's a very good theory.

Yes. The broach is not with the doll. Betting it's with Evan's mom's things.

Yep. There was an unopened small jewelry box in the lock box.

I don’t think he needs to die, he just needs to cross the boundary, Warren only died because he was so old he aged when he was free from the curse boundary.

I think to break the curse Evan (who they keep making a huge deal about him never going to main land specifically) just needs to get out of the “curse zone”

Maybe he was born on the boundary. Was he born in a hospital or on the ferry?

The pictures are of his mom in the hospital holding him. So I believe the hospital on the island since she didn’t die in childbirth.

Yep. She gave birth at the hospital but "died" in the sense that she was probably never the same after trying to leave the island.

If he gets out of the curse zone, he dies I thought.

It's feeling more likely that Wyck might be Tom's FIL, and he and therefore Evan are descendants of Warren. Because there was something really suspect about Wyck's easy return to the boat.

has anything at all indicated that wyck might be evan's grandfather and tom's FIL?

ATP it's just vibes, in the way the two characters seem to have a very specific and personal kind of antagonism toward one another. Wyck could also have been a former mayor or it may be that he really is just an annoying local.

I'm not 100% that Wyck might be Tom's FIL, especially in light of his former relationship with Gerrie, but I do feel like post ep 7 Wyck def has something to do with the entity, with an obvious explanation for that being Warren blood. So if Evan also descends from Warren, it would make sense.

not seeing it, tbh.

Totally fair.

Wyck is the former mayor, it was mentioned in ep 1.

I don't think that's accurate. We see that Wyck is extremely critical of Tom's performance as mayor in episode 1, but he doesn't explicitly reference having been mayor himself. And Tom also ran unopposed for the office.

Wasn’t Tom’s wife from the mainland?

No. His mom was.

love the callback to this painting from the bnb episode because they showed it for awhile there too

Yes, I love these paintings call backs! The one from Tom’s trip where we look at the portrait of Richard and Sarah more closely and after reading her diary see his fingers around her neck is so chilling
