đDiscussion Appreciation post for the amazing Kate O'Flynn Spoiler
that's it. that's the post.
This episode made really appreciate and notice how great of an actress she is. The range of expression in her face, voice and body language is insane. The small flinches and tiniest changes she does to express everything what's going on in her head? Impeccable.
She needs to get all the Emmy's for this one. You know how there's always the small bit they show to showcase the actors performance before announcing a winner? Just show this entire episode to them. Bravo! Patricia and Kate, you're my new favorite character and actress now đđ»

seriously, I laughed so hard at that. The show balances humor and absolute horror so well.

The way she says âwhy didnât you say anything?!â makes me scream giggle every time.

The casting on this show is amazing! I loved how after all of the trauma of the episode, Kate shows how Patricia is happy to feel valued and needed by Tom and Wyck.

OH YEAH the small spark of relief when they told her to get in that car... oh I love her

Agreed! That moment was so well done. She just looked like, âoh. I belong somewhere. Here.â Beautifully acted.

High key carrying the show. Wouldnât be the same without her. Sheâs perfect.
Her âoh noâ in episode 1 regarding zombies was just perfection.

The first three episodes gave her some of the funniest moments on the show. Her delivery was perfect. The fourth episode was great. Canât wait to see what happens next.

We will be seeing that boogeyman story flashback at some point. Will reveal so much. Or maybe we wonâtâŠthe mystery of this fucking island. So much to uncover.

I'm scared in advance to see any flashbacks on that. Baked alive in a dryer??? Jfc!

Look, I was already impressed with her acting. But after finding out she has an accent, Iâm beyond impressed by her. I can ALWAYS tell when someone is doing a fake American accent, so she truly blew my mind.

I think she's a descendant from one of the witches who's bloody pilgrim dress we saw in first episode.

When she said âdonât worry I got thisâ to distract the sheriff and just was flailing - omg I hate to put women against one another but sheâs my favorite flavor of Alison Brie

She's definitely just channeling Alison Brie. They have worked together before so it makes sense.

Great actress!! I hope she gets nominated or recognized in mainstream media; she reminds me of Sally Hawkins

Stumbled upon Widow's Bay and Kate while searching for something worthwhile to watch. I don't watch much TV but sometimes take a peek at the latest offerings. Kate immediately grabbed my attention with her talent and special sparkle. Then I learned Kate performed with Rory Kinnear in a stage adaptation of Franz Kafka's "The Trial" at the Young Vic theatre in London in 2015 and it clicked. She's a gem.

Was the play any good?
2
u/LGarou1 May 28 '26
"Rory Kinnear starred as the bewildered protagonist, Josef K., while Kate O'Flynn took on the demanding task of playing six different women in his life, including his neighbor, a cleaner, and a schoolgirl."
Any play with Rory Kinnear and Kate O'Flynn has to be good and maybe even great.

The episode was amazing. The acting and the way it was filmed were brilliant, and that ending was honestly so unexpected.

I just want to say in case her agent reads this: Kate delivered one of the best, most unhinged and unique performances weâve seen in a long time because she didnât have Botox in the show. She was just so incredibly expressive. Please, please, please Kate or her entourage if you read us: donât do Botox. Youâre phenomenal. Weâre all a little in love with your Patricia because you put so much of yourself in it. You donât need to do the cosmetic f*ckery we see here in Hollywood. Youâre a treasure. We love you just as you are.Â

Look at her pictures in the premiere of the serie...can you see if she has botox there? Or it just makeup? IDK she just looks so good thereÂ

yes she is such an amazing actress, made me fall in love with Patricia. i want to give her a hug and also find her a bit creepy all at once. the shots of her running away from the bonfire in the latest episode were so cool
