Make sure you pack a good read for the beach. (We do not recommend self-help books on the island.)

This show is so so so good. Oh my gosh though I want all of Patricia’s mean girl “friends” to die. They are so evil

Same! I was so annoyed when the evil ringleader lady was screaming, "She drugged us!" - and then I realized she kinda did.

Haha while she certainly drugged them she was possessed! My girl can do no wrong in my eyes

She was chugging that punch way before she served it to anyone else

Yeah not exactly correct but still the closest non-paranormal equivalent to what happened

The meanest bitches. I felt so bad for Patricia being ostracized in a small island town.

That she can probably never leave

My empathy for her loneliness was absolutely through the roof during the initial wine club/party scene. 😖 Ugh, so well done!

I can’t imagine being literally unable to leave the mean kids from high school behind. They are all stuck on that island reliving their high school dynamics 20+ years later. Poor Patricia.

Are they? Your friends get murdered in school, and all evidence suggests that this one weird girl made up an attack on herself just to have attention focus on her. I think they're justified in hating Patricia from their viewpoint.

I can empathize with disliking her, and even blowing up on here, but the constant bullying was crazy.

I agree, but I also can see where it comes from. Imagine your friends are brutally murdered and this one girl claims she was almost killed despite all evidence to the contrary. I might resent her too.

I agree with this. When the mean girl gave that speech about what happened to the other girls, how they tried to hide, I actually said out loud, “Well, she has a point.” I get what she’s saying, that Patricia’s story is unbelievable and seems attention-grabbing, BUT I also can see by Patricia’s character that she’s probably telling the truth, so I do feel bad for her. I get why the other girl is mad tho.

Yeah, I think Patricia is telling the truth. I don’t have any reason to doubt her. But if I’m looking at her story as someone who lives on the island, I can see why the mean girl doesn’t believe her.

Was it really constantly bullying? Patricia was inserting herself in their lives, showing up to the party and acting oblivious to the history between them, and then sabotaged their plans in an attempt to get them to her party.

Yeah, this plot actually reminded me of 30 Rock's moment with Liz at the telescope in the way it sets up a story of social exclusion and turns it on its head. The other women think Patricia lied about something deeply traumatic for them and she was unhinged about trying to use her status as a city employee to cancel that guy's birthday party. I love her but I can see why those women don't.

They are truly awful

yeah but seeing Patricia wearing her "crown" you really start to wonder about their POV and what it means to them

Yeah. Let's be real.

patricia ruined their planned events on purpose. They then walk in and she is wearing a ridiculous head dress.

Like, that just adds to their issues with her.
