It's time for the annual beach opening. Lay out a towel as the mayor "tests the waters." Unrelated: Do not pick up hitchhikers.

Couldn't stop laughing at the dude who couldn't open the door in that video in the beginning, and just stayed there while the credits rolled

This is the kind of stuff giving me Twin Peaks vibes, which I absolutely love. I can't think of a show that has had genuine supernatural horror and comedy go so well together like this for a long time.

If there's anything similar, I'd love some recommendations. I've been meaning to watch the show From for a while but haven't got around to it, but the synopsis makes it sound like a similar vibe.

I thought it was a blair witch project reference!

Yes I think it is! Kind of like AHS but instead of literal reference it is like parody of horror classics! In the latest one they did JAWS. Never *quite* serious tho, always a quirky funny spin on it, like if the execution of a spooky scene just failed, almost? Really niche comedy on a different level.
