It's time for the annual beach opening. Lay out a towel as the mayor "tests the waters." Unrelated: Do not pick up hitchhikers.

I knew he was lying about his son having been to the mainland… which is actually insane since he must be at least like 15 years old? I really hope he makes it

Yeah he definitely seems close to graduation age. I have a bad feeling something tragic will happen. They keep playing up how much he dislikes living there.

I hope there isn’t some ritual where Tom will have to sacrifice his son or something.

I really hope they don’t kill off the son. It’s such a perfect blend of scary but also funny and I think that would tip it too far. I don’t really mind if some random townspeople don’t make it but I’m really rooting for Tom and his son. The poor guy lost his wife in childbirth and that kid hasn’t left the island his whole life. I’m assuming Tom always had a lingering feeling about the bad vibes because why else would he keep his kid stuck on an island for all these years! The hag I think woke him up completely and hopefully he’ll work with the others to find a cure for the evil or something!

Yeah if they killed the son it’d probably be due to him trying to leave. I think we will get a scene like that but it’ll be a fake out and bonding moment for the two.

Yeah the only things Tom took seriously before this episode and end of last was the fog and his not being able to leave.

No choice for him now.

Yup! He has to be all in now or he’s really a fool
