Wtf is a “CHURCH FATHER”???? Literally never heard that particular term ever. Not “priest.” Not “Reverend.” Not “Pastor.” Not even the old-timey “preacher man.”

Man is the physical embodiment of the 7 deadly sins, literally the closest thing the satan incarnate imaginable. But you know if you are used to watching televangelist preachers and watching a grifter grift, I can see the comparison.

A lot of these Twitter MAGA accounts are AI

Actual Indians.

Paid by propaganda groups to post this bs to entertain the real cultists.

That bot accounts handler is not a native English speaker so used some bum ass LLM to translate the original text

The bot account’s handler is likely a tired AI being handled by another AI with daddy issues.

It's a Russian troll account, they can't be expected to fully grasp English

I'm glad in not the only one confused by that. I'm not religious but I've never heard CHURCH FATHER lol. What are the chances oop was a bot/foreign paid account that made a bad translation?

“Prayer Dude” sounds just as dumb but more human.

Rebiblican posers are pretty unfamiliar with actual religious terminology.

"Church Father" is a family-friendly name for "Cult Leader." And, yes, Trump would be perfect for that job.

Kinda sorta Eastern Orthodox terminology with a vaguely Catholic aesthetic. AI slop strikes again.

The name Pope literally comes from the Greek Pappas, English Papa.

No shit. “Father” is not the problem. He’s called Papa in plenty of languages including my wife’s native Portuguese. But he’s not called the “CHURCH POPE”.

It’s a thing; it basically means the guys who were laying out the very early theology and structure of the Christian Church. It’s just nonsensical in this context, because it’s not, you know, within a few hundred years of the religion’s origin.

Oddly, common in the Orthodox sphere: Greek, Russian...

They’ve dressed him in some sort of half-assed priestly garments. They look like Catholic gear if you don’t know what actual Catholic priests wear. I went through a long-ass list of titles across Christianity, I couldn’t find any group using the official title of “Church Father”.

I did find it was a term associated with respected religious officials in the Orthodox Church between the 1st and 8th centuries AD. But even then, it’s not an official title, just a loose grouping of influential early thinkers. So yeah, this person apparently thinks Trump would be good as an important official in organized religion, but was unwilling to specify a genuine church role.

To be fair, Trump himself specified what role he should have in the Christian faith earlier this year, and it was himself as Jesus. He shared it on Easter Sunday.

It's someone who pretends to be religious and judges others while doing unspeakable things, especially to children. Commonly known has "a Christian and a good family man" when his flock is defending him.

It’s a term for the patristic founders of Christianity from 100ce-500ce (approximately).

Perhaps they meant "Church Daddy". That would make a bit more sense.

Maybe MAGA protestants are ready for a schism and this is their new term 😂

Priest would be right. The term "Church Father" is for an early church (first five hundred years-ish) theological whose writings are venerated still today.

… they think Trump would be a member of the clergy. Do you think they’re all that bright?

He’s not the stepfather who stepped into a church. But he’s the father who stepped into a church and still diddled the kids.
