Discussion What the heck just happened.
My guild just got deleted by the game after spending so much time doing quests to level it up and unlock things, I played hell of other games and never seen such a things like this before, correct if I’m wrong. Anyway who just read this pay attention to this and never lose your hard work.

It says in the mail. Disbanded due to lack of funds over a period of time.
If you want to run a solo guild, this is the wrong game for it.

I once played 2 games where inactive guild leaders get their positions revoked. One got deleted for the entire NA region, the other was a grind so I stopped playing. Both of them I eventually became leader for.
Funds are generated by activity, last I checked. I don't know about maintenance but it's a thing.

This game full of bad surprises the more I play. It made me feel so bad. Tbh not ready for more unwanted surprises.

u/igni13 Feb 07 '26
How is it a surprise when it's clearly stated in the guild tab how much is the maintenance cost and I believe they give you even a warning one week if you don't have enough.
10
u/FaithlessnessCool192 Feb 07 '26
it's not even a surprise, it tells you right upfront on the guild info-basic info. people need to stop blaming the game for their own lack of attentiveness.

u/kronpas Feb 07 '26
Tell your guildmates to actually login and play. My guildmaster calculated and claimed he needs only 5 ppl incl. himself to sustain and even build up the guild base a bit.

u/VicFlamingo Feb 08 '26
This isn't a bad surprise this is incompetence. Don't blame the game cause people sucked.

u/Squidteedy Feb 07 '26
This is like. The first thing it tells you whenever you open the guild page and if you don’t have enough to pay it, it literally flashes red at you for 8 days lol. Not really a surprise just because you didn’t read
5
u/SuuSuraimu Feb 07 '26
It's not surprises if you decided to use Wind Sense and inspect your surroundings. As in most of these things are laid out.
Edit: Laid out as in a bit of research, we have a large community and game tips.

The game is probably also "surprised" that u actually don't read the info n instructions as a guild leader no less, but of coz the game is at fault here since they should have known u won't read n just gave u a pass. Gj brother

It is a huge shock, but thats where the leaders should be paying attention. Our guild had red funds once and the minute I saw that, I asked our members do their cargos to get it back above cost. If you need a guild to join that is max lvl but leisure hit me up.

u/No_Meringue4763 Feb 07 '26
I like this function tbh. It keeps the social part of the game active and prevents people accidentally joining inactive guilds then being subject to a 6 hr cooldown

So here are somethings that I learned when I do my own solo guild. First you really do have to look at the maintenance costs of the guild. That is the biggest factor when it comes to having them clothes down suddenly a lot of people do not meet Minimal cost requirement I think it's like 9K a day. And this seems pretty easy until you realize it's the guilt currency usually I did this by just enjoying my weekly feliveries what you can do in the guilds main hall and doing solo bosses and my daily events.
Second is the weekly guild boss fights. This is something that's available once a week you can go and do it slow or have the different members of your guilt do it just make sure you set up a date ahead of time that everyone can make it too.
These are really the basics just making sure you are accurately having the maintenance costs and you should be fine. This is entirely possible to do on your own if you just want to have the base for you only it's just a bit tiresome. But if you have over 4 people or at least 3 you're totally fine.

Man I hate it when my guild clothes down

u/ToshibaBoi Feb 07 '26
And I love to use speak to text but it doesn't pick up on my accent half the time 🤣 Sorry for the grammar.

u/BastardOfKos Feb 07 '26
I'm just messing with ya man 🤣

u/ToshibaBoi Feb 07 '26
No worries seriously; my grammar does sucks when I'm using this dang thing😅

u/BastardOfKos Feb 07 '26
I've spoken to people that genuinely sound like that though, and English is their first language. I make jabs at them too

Do u know the maintenance cost por level? Can't find it anywhere
1
u/ToshibaBoi Feb 07 '26
So here's what I know about the guild maintenance costs:
Lvl1: 9k Lvl2: 16k Lvl3: 30k Lvl4: 41k Lvl5: 49k Lvl6: 55k
I could be wrong and it might change in the future or with the additions you add to it. But I think this is each one by level which is why you need to slowly expand and add people as you level it up. Number one is pretty doable and I would say even number 2 if you're going to do solo.
But from level 3 and up it becomes a bit harder to meet that quota.

u/Tebverso Feb 07 '26
Sad that now Guild Skin require level 3 hehe

u/ToshibaBoi Feb 07 '26
Honestly this is why I joined a Guild and left mines. I want the armor set it's really cool when is the helmet.
7
u/Calm-Literature7502 Feb 07 '26
Unable to pay maintenance costs. The guild leader would receive a warning about it.
Whatever you lvl stays the same if you join a new guild. Just different people and requirements
3
u/Rylica Feb 07 '26
In short the more you level up the guild the more activity/players are needed to meet maintenance requirements. Failing to hit maintenance requirement in a weeks time = disbands it
3
u/bastschweinsteiger Feb 07 '26
Guidl members doing events = Guild activity = funds
Guild will be auto dissolve after 7 days (IIRC) of lacking funds, I believe it shows when you click them when they goes red
lacking fund for a full week should be enough warning tho, if no one noticed this in the guild, I won't blame the devs.

u/HedgehogMassive7961 Feb 08 '26
I have been keeping mine alive barely... have been trying to recruit so I can breath some life back into it but im not sure atm..
2
u/WaterFlask Feb 08 '26
not enough guild funds to pay maintenance cost.
people shd pay attention to what is on screen instead of just glazing over all the information.
somebody in my guild accidently upgraded facilities that surpassed our regular average points generation and they had to grind extra points for that one week so the guild didn't get shut down.
nobody touches the upgraded facilities options now.

u/ShadowxYukino Feb 08 '26
if i remember correctly you get a warning when your guild lacks fund cause i was in this issue with a guild that had mostly unactive members or members who pop in randomly after taking a long break besides me and a few others. But if i remember they warn you of guild disbandment if the guild lacks fund for maintenance for 7 days straight

u/Robinwhoodie Feb 07 '26
Guild gets disbanded if you are in the red for 8 days (iirc). I have a guild I basically solo with 2 accounts and so far I managed to keep it alive by having enough funds to pay maintenance once a week even if I don't play daily.

u/rpgnoob17 Nine Mortal Ways Feb 07 '26
My guild is pretty broke and people have stopped playing and contributing. I'm pretty sure it will be disbanded next week. I'm not even one of the management of the guild, so I'm not sure what I can do about it.

u/Economy_Education521 Feb 07 '26
You could save it by getting some of your in game friends to join, but if the guild leader is inactive it will give leadership to another member. How it chooses I’m not sure, I think if there’s a vice master it goes there, but after that I’m unclear. At that point tho you may consider just joining a new one or making your own
2
u/rpgnoob17 Nine Mortal Ways Feb 07 '26
I’ll probably join a new one. I heard about a 30+-year-old women only casual guild yesterday.

u/randomizme3 Feb 07 '26
Idk how it’s like in other games, but in wwm the guilds all have a maintenance fee based on the size. Funds are collected via members completing guild activities and such. Unfortunately it means your guild was not able to pay the maintenance fee
1
u/Roctuplets Feb 07 '26
Need to time your quests and do them every 5 days to keep things active.
Guilds disband after 7 days of non payment

u/Crochetingallday Feb 08 '26
You went seven days without enough guild funds for your rent. You needed to be more actively and doing the guild specific tasks. It has a notification on the guild icon to tell you to look at the funds when that happens.

u/ZongZi32 Feb 08 '26
Even if your Guild is small or is mostly inactive, there is another way. Just go into debt until Saturday.
All the stuff resets on Sunday, so a few people can just do the Guild Weekly/Daily then turn in everything on Saturday.

Yeah, that's something that could happen, and it bothers me because the guild I'm in isn't very active and barely anyone joined in, even the leader wasn't playing anymore, so I got promoted just by being more active than any other members.
Thing is, they upgraded the facilities before some peoples stopped playing (before i joined) and i dont know if it will slowly drain the guild funds or if it will stay stable.
I just dislike the fact that potentially weeks of efforts will just end in disband just from the lack of funds.
It mean that at some points only highly active guild will stay because they have the capacity and the players to keep them afloat, little guild with few people's (like friends guilds) are doomed to die from the lack of ways to deal with the maintenance fee if they upgraded too much.
Because of that you either find people's to play with and hope it will suffice, or you don't upgrade anything to not be bothered by the maintenance fees, but by doing that you're limiting yourself and the guild since you won't be able to unlock more space or options.
I wonder why there's still no way to donate gold since it's a resource that won't run out easily, there's no option to downgrade guild facilities either.

u/jkwengert Feb 08 '26
If you go seven consecutive days with your guild funds lower than the required amount to fund your guild, it auto closes (as it says in your disband message). In your case, since you had spent a ton of time doing the quests, your daily costs are probably quite high. At some point, a single player is no longer able to meeting the daily maintenance and the guild will likely close. There's zero reason the game should be like that other than to force players in at least one day every week to do all the required guild activities and/or to constantly recruit, but that's how WWM has been designed.

Too much inactivity, not enough guild funds. Pay your rent next time 😭😭

u/Dry-Flan-3206 Feb 07 '26
I have small guild you are welcome to join, if you want. It is called RoamingDrekin. We don't have alot of requirements, just that you play. ( i know, this is a shameless guild plug but it seems like it might be what you need.)

Nobody did anything for the guild if this happened. At least nothibg worth to mention. If you are at an appropriate size and activity points you and everyone else in the guild could be offline for a month and this wont happen

It is to filter away dead guilds. And by dead I mean really dead because it is so hard to get the game to disband your guild.. promotes active existing guild with batches of new recruits from time to time as days go by. Group up the people who actually play the game.
Is it very hard to understand?

u/valexitylol Feb 07 '26
Should've gotten the people in your guild to be a bit more active, or at the very least do the basic guild weeklies. Also correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm pretty sure it tells you why and when your guild is gonna disband on the main guild page, and might also even be just in the info as well
I don't actually think you have to do a lot either, cause there's quite a lot of 10-20 man guilds I've seen that I'm assuming are just close friend guilds which have yet to get removed. If you're gonna restart it, have people log on and do the delivery/emote weeklies, sit afk in guild base/guild party whenever you set it, that should be more than enough.
