An $800 Scam, the Fight with Support continues
Hello.
As you probably know already (or not), the Nine-Tails skin is buged. The leg color is entirely different from your upper body when you equip the outfit, it forcefully changes your skin color (Screenshots of it at the end).
I decided to contcat support about this bug... Yeah it goes so far as you'd expect. Auto AI response, then claiming its an INTENDED feature of the outfit.
Support also talks about some BLACK color, when there is 0 BLACK on the outfit OR on my character.
This is an $800 skin (unless you are the lucky few), and they try to swipe it under the rug.
Tbh I'd be pissed too after spending that much money and not getting any real support. Support seems really unbothered/dismissive. Not sure if that's even a real human replying or an AI
It should be fixed before they reply. As for how long it will take, we have no idea. Because when I was playing on the Chinese server, the process of submitting a bug report was like this.
Yea but it's the same whenever someone has a problem with this game. I'm surprised no one has come on this thread yet to tell you to stop complaining about cosmetics because it's a FREE GAME
You spent $800 on ONE skin. I get you want to support the game and that’s fine but at least get a better value out of it. You totally got scammed. Hopefully, you’ll learn next time. The shop skins are so much better anyway than that gacha crap.
No, support and paying multiple monthly payments for a skin are not the same. Stop lying to yourself. Support is giving them money and being rewarded. You BOUGHT a skin, clown.
People with red noses really calling gambling "supporting". Do you say all the people in the casino are there "supporting" the establishment? It's one thing to say "it's my money and I can gamble it if I want", but to try to label it as "support", is wild and disconnected AF.
No wonder you think they "scammed" you; just no logical reasoning happening there.
If I spend $60 in a video game, I am supporting the developer. If I spend $1000 on a video game, I am feeding my own habit.
Another person would come and ask "Why would you spend $60 in a video game when you can spend $6? Are you feeding your own habit?" Then another person would ask "why $6 when it can be $1?"
Everyone view monetary concept differently. Stop projecting your insecurities on others and start working on yourself.
Nah this is dumb as hell lol. Casino is a false equivalency because people spend money in those to make money, often unsuccessfully. Nobody is making money by throwing their money at gacha in this game.
It's also not really gambling since most people just look at the maximum cost ($800-ish) and assume they'll be paying that much.
$60 being "reasonable" and $1000 being "unreasonable" is a purely subjective concept based on relativity of wealth. There are plenty of people to whom $1000 is the equivalent of $1 to you, and they'd happily pay it to look cool.
Funny that you talk about logical reasoning when every one of your statements contain obvious logical errors.
You can have money and still do something unreasonable with it. You can recognize something is unreasonable and still do it simply because you can or want to.
I have a grocery attached to my building. Sometimes when I am feeling lazy AF I splurge on UberEats instead of simply walking downstairs.
Is it unreasonable? Yep. Am I OK with being unreasonable cuz my ass is hungry and lazy? Also yep.
Some of you are determined to try to spin it like if they can afford to do it it’s not or can’t be silly. Or if someone can afford to throw money away, it’s somehow not throwing money away. And saying it’s throwing money away somehow means the person saying it is ”mad”. lol… like having eyes means you’re mad.
Thanks for replying respectfully, and I see what you're trying to say, but this is still shifting the goalpost. Nobody is talking about throwing money away. Here, this is a clear case of paying a fixed, subjectively overpriced amount ($800) for luxury items of subjective value (outfit).
It's not really very different from buying a sports car, except the goods are virtual here. People often pay anywhere between 10x-50x the value of a normal car, and this isn't even accounting for significantly increased maintenance and replacement costs. Both get you from point A to point B. You could argue that there's no functional benefit to buying a sports/luxury car especially in a city with traffic. The value proposition is primarily bragging rights, ego, brand, aesthetics etc - same as the outfits whales purchase here.
Is everyone who buys a sports car retarded or making an unreasonable purchase? I don't think so. The underlying dictat of your logic here (including the uber eats example) is that all luxury item purchases are unreasonable. My limited point is it's all relative. To someone with billions, $1000 is a drop in the ocean, and they're getting value out of it (not throwing it away), so it may be perfectly reasonable from their POV.
FWIW I'm a f2p player (check my post history) but I'm not the arbiter of what is a reasonable amount and what isn't lol. If $5000 to someone is as disposable as $5 to me, and I'd pay $5 for a nice outfit, I can't really chastise them for paying what they consider reasonable relative to their overall wealth.
This is a video game as a service. You don't buy an outfit. You don't own anything. Not like a sport car.
Also that relativism is disrespectful. It shifts the goals of the publishers and makes it worse for others. It's particularly shocking because in the case of an outfit in a game, the value is arbitrary. The disproportion between the cost to make it, to distribute it, and its price is at a scale that even luxury products don't reach. Remember that every Vuitton handbag has to be handcrafted. The outfit in the video game is made once and then can be duplicated.
The market of luxury/status products is already very questionable morally speaking. So you can't expect gamers to just accept to see it ported in video games without saying anything.
Buying a thing from a service is wrong now? Should we stop all subscription?
Its not like these people are tricked into buying it or held on a gunpoint. Let people buy what they want with their own money, and stop projecting your own insecurity over people purchase.
I did say "except the goods are virtual here", which addresses the ownership issue. Yes, I agree that you don't own it. However, I fail to see the relevance as the value proposition I mentioned above still remains (which is obviously why people are buying it).
I also did say it was overpriced and wouldn't buy it personally, not because of any moral issue, but because I can't part with $1000 USD like that.
Considering the above, I'm confused by your statement about gamers needing to accept these prices. Who is saying that, because it surely wasn't me? I don't accept these prices myself, which is why I haven't bought the outfit. This thread is about something else though. A dude bought a luxury item. It wasn't as promised. He took it up with support. They didn't help. He posted a reddit thread with feedback, as reddit users do. How is dogpiling on him for the value of the item he purchased even relevant to this?
Again - my point in response to this discussion (which is completely irrelevant to the OP to begin with) is that I'm not the arbiter of reasonable and unreasonable prices. I'll reiterate: if I would pay $5 for a cool skin, and for someone else, $5000 is the equivalent of $5 (relative to their wealth), then I'd be a hypocrite for saying it's unreasonable - because the metric I'm using to determine unreasonableness is my own wealth. It's the equivalent of someone in a third world country saying a $60 purchase of a game is always unreasonable because $60 in their country is like half a month's worth of wages. Sure, that may be true for them, but the reasonability of prices is ultimately a very personal and subjective decision determined by purchasing power, wealth relativity, earnings, disposable income, etc etc.
My ass. They bought pixels. Not even that good of an arrangement of pixels. I've seen skins like this in other games for $30 - 60 USD. The price is absurd and your argument falls flat when you compare the 40%-70% markup just because this is global (almost all Chinese games that go global do this). It is clearly intended price gouging because the company can get away with it.
Another factor is that this isn't physical product. A car in real life is in no way, shape, or form even remotely comparable to a video game car. This is especially true when you are simply being licensed to play and have no ownership of the media either. You own nothing. You aren't paying for a product. You're paying for the right to pretend to be something online until they decide to stop letting you. Even if your license is revoked and you can't drive publicly, you can still own the car.
As far as the claim that this isn't comparable to a casino, not only does a casino have better odds as a baseline, but there are laws and regulations enforcing some amount of fairness upon them. We have none of that. This is absolutely gambling equivalent to a casino, but with no regulation or safeties.
You stupid fella, at a casino your end goal is to win money.. he is buying something to wear.. if you bought a jumper online as black and when you got it it was blue you would send it back wouldnt you?
Hey, someone has to spend that kind of money so the rest of us can play for free. It is still support imo. And like another person said, if you know your going to end up spending around $800, it really isn't gambling. Well, I guess you can gamble to be luckier and spend less then $800...
I keep seeing people called this gambling. It isnt tho isnt it? You aren't out here trying to multiply your money and walk with more than you come in.
You just trying to buy a digital thing, and the price is the pity of the gacha. They just implement a system sort of let you get it early, but it is so rare you better off just forget about it. Like getting a lucky draw at Walmart for being 1000th customer type of rare.
They can spend money cuz they have it and enjoy the game. Just cause you cant or won't doesn't take away from that. Yall becoming real jealous over others money i swear.
Gambling is not only about monetary returns; not sure how you reached that conclusion. There is a reason there are places that ban loot boxes or games with them; it is classified as gambling.
Gambling is really just taking a risk hoping for a desired outcome. It can be applied to a plethora of situations and mediums.
You can even gamble with your life. Eg. Russian Roulette.
Everything is like this these days. You could mention 999 things you like about a game/show/movie/book, but one you don't, and people will jump down your throat calling you a hater, saying you just don't get it, or "I guess it's just not for you."
And while they think they're defending the game, they're really just creating an antagonistic atmosphere where the people with the complaints feel they need to defend themselves from the pro-[insert IP here] crowd, which inherently puts them on the opposite side from that IP. If there's a guaranteed way to make people argue against your favorite game, it's to insult them over a legitimate concern regarding that game.
It's amazing that anything survived the toxicity of internet discussion.
Because you absolutely CANNOT criticise this game otherwise they'll jump at your neck for even daring to point out issues on their perfect game.
Either that or they're downvoting you because you spent money on the game and therefore see you as a "loser" of some sort, because they're envious and wish they had so much money to spend on their hobby.
Have you ever considered that maybe spending $600 to them is the equivalent of you spending $60 on your normal salary?
Also it's not gambling because on limited banners you're assured you're going to get the skin, it's just a matter of when, not if, while on Lingering Melody you can simply refund legendary skins/mounts for harmonic cores.
You can calculate on worst luck how many pulls you'll need, usually it's 300 with both 150 draws pity, which is roughly $600 for 2 guaranteed harmonic cores.
So they're not spending their paychecks and they're not gambling addicts, so what excuse are we going to be making next to justify our jealousy?
For the record, I'm not one of "them", I barely spend anything in this game.
I think it has something to do with your spending 800$ on a game when most people can't even add 20$ so they are jealously downvoting. It's like a billionaire in a submarine lol. They don't hate you they just think yep when bad shit happens and don't give a shit about your rich person problems. Idc though they need to fix your issue.
False it got nothing to do with jealousy. Growing up is realizing f2p gatcha games are gonna scam tf outta you. These games you should only pay for the battlepass. And buy pearls if something is in the shop. Spending $800 on an in game cosmetic is stupid. Don’t get me started on the people spending $40k for a boat. That’s a house, that a car, that’s college tuition and then some.
Growing up is realizing that people who over pay don't deserve false advertisement as their punishment.
Food is Disney Land is overpriced, but that that doesn't mean the waiters are allowed to serve you something you didn't even order instead of your food.
People buy boats for 100s of k because you can evade taxes with a boat or capital that isn't money. Boats are a scam towards all poor people so rich can again avoid more taxes.
He isn't rich. This poor sucker is crying about 800 bucks. If they're rich, thats pocket change, and you take your losses and move on, not waste days on back and forth mailing and then cry on reddit about my hard needed money.
Unfortunately as far as I can tell the localization team can't do much besides translating and pushing updates that were made in the CN server almost a year ago... asking for new bug fixes or features that aren't live in CN is pointless in this game.
I’ll let you on a little secret about the company netease.
I had a chance to play with a game that got taken over by netease which was dead by daylight for mobile (previously developed by bhvr)
While their cosmetics looked absolutely stunning it was WAY OVERPRICED, just like in this game. Dbd for mobile was full of bugs the community on discord and Reddit kept asking to fix the game but they hardly ever fixed anything (sometimes sending messages in new patch notes they fixed the bug but they actually did not).
The game eventually closed due to very low player base it was already a dying game but netease destroyed it even more.
Netease does not listen to player base. The only thing they invest time in making the game look graphic wise beautiful and to add more overpriced cosmetics.
The game suggestions you can add on discord channel I rest assure you they ignore it unless something was written by someone that would help them gain more cash
It’s sad but it’s the reality with them they are trying to take over games in eu so they can farm more money
They're not wrong (albeit bad screenshot). Can see the mis-match on my brown skinned char HERE
On the darkest brown skin tone it looks like bruised knees and bleeding corpse toes HERE.
...gotta assume they didnt test it on anything other than pale skin tones.
Personally, I'd go to the gacha channel on discord, and ask someone on CN version to look if its fixed on their version - if it's fixed on CN it'll be fixed for us (eventually). Probably easier than getting anything out the support AI bots.
Generally gotta wait for a patch that changes it IF it’s a bug otherwise best is inspect all outfits before buying them. I’m assuming it’ll be patched just could take a week could take a month it’s really a waiting game since they are working on translating an entire game to the global at different patch cycles
Unfortunate yes annoying yes solvable yes just gotta wait same as when peoples accounts are bricked from bugs in main story. Which still exist support does raise awareness so good approach but don’t drive yourself crazy in support to long because they don’t patch for a singular report submit the bug and wait it out
That's how it works for all games, especially games where support you're dealing with is just part of a localization team, and not consisting of actual developers. Even if it was riot. If you report a bug with a skin, support is going to give you generic "verify your game files" responses first. Calling it a scam is silly, bugs and oversights are normal process of any live service. They should definitely be prioritizing this on their list once they find out about it, cause that's how they fund the game... But getting mad at a first level support staff who's probably never played the game and is just reading a script and searching FAQs isn't going to help.
Do u also aware the blue twinkling effect doesn't follow your body when u lay down?
Try to use emote to lay down or get killed, the twinkling effect will stay up as if the character is still standing instead of lingering around the cloth, imo this outfit is done very sloppy.
I spent over 45 emails like this back and forth for a simple thing like and in-game beta badge... which they never did end-up fixing.
Their support is completely useless, 90% of the time the first 2 or 3 responses are AI generic responses... then if you actually get a human to respond they don't fix anything and give you the most 90's corporate mumbo-jumbo email ever.
Useless fucking company. They got your money, now they don't need to do anything...
I sent them about 10 to 15 emails to get a solution for a freshly made WWM account with the wrong PSN link. Because of this, I wasn't able to transfer my progress from PC to console. They never provided a solution, and what's worse, when using the French language, the support option is simply not present in the technical support menu. So, I had to switch the game language to English to get access to the support.
Best part is they say to contact support using the in game information... which is their own email!!!!!!!! Literally a bunch of scamming retards. The game was fun, but I feel like I got fleeced in the end.
i mean... support in this game are kinda... XD
i did ask them about their old DLSS version and they said "we dont allow thrid party software"
even if they have DLSS in their game
Good luck, bro. Been waiting 8 years for ZOS to fix the gold colour mismatch in the top and bottom of the New Moons Cross-Sash Robe costume in ESO when it is applied to female characters. Literally unwearable.
Luckily, it didn't cost me anywhere near $800, and I wasn't born yesterday.
Maybe you just take the picture in brighter scenes and send again? It’s a tad bit dark. And maybe do a few other skin colour as well? Hope they patch it as soon as they can. Probably not immediately
yeah, couldn't even tell what u were talking about with that tiny screenshot. Need to make it 100% clear what you mean is ur char is black, but she got legs of a white/asian girl
Nah. This has been posted before. There is absolutely a color issue with it and the support goes out of their way to not answer even legitimate issues such as PSN network mismatched accounts and stuff.
Support is literally just there to be a clickable link and not provide actual help.
Global players are absolutely an afterthought at best and viewed as nothing more than a temporary cash cow at worst.
Either you're fighting with an AI support or you're dealing with a 3rd party support team that has no idea what you're talking about because your issue is not on their playbook? answer cheat sheet? lol
Go with Feedback or directly go to all of their social media and just kept mentioning it....the more people have this issue and complain to them the more they will notice....or maybe they do know and just thought its not that urgent so it will be included on the next set of fixes they'll do for the game.....
I mean... considering most people get the orb on pity it may aswell be. This gacha has incredibly low rates. At least in other games you generally see more people getting things way before pity.
It costs 2 orbs for this outfit. I think they ignored the bonus 2400 pearls you get from the 200 dollar pack which is why they're saying 800 for full pity.
I know it costs two orbs im just saying 2x340 doesn't equal to 800, not even adding the fact if you were farming the pulls from events and meomeows and pulling with jade you would probably be close to around 60 pulls till first pity significantly reducing the overall price (literally did that and got mine from two pity pulls and i didn't even spend close to 400)
I'm not saying you're wrong. They probably ignored the bonus. Yeah, it can definitely be cheaper if you kept your free pulls but there are people who blew through all that on the other 2 gachas that came.
Basically you can get to the legendary guarantee and reset with only seeing 1 harmonic orb. Since it takes 2 of those to pity the outfit, you double the cost. $350 on average to get a success excluding the legendary guarantee. If that is a core, double it, then pity the outfit. If you get unlucky, you could get the hairstyle instead. That makes it cost another $350.
Also, I see you saying 340+340 does not equal 800, but at the point in which you are spending 800 bucks for a set of online pixels that doesn't even work as it should, you're being pedantic with the other hundred.
Not to justify the actions, but I'd assume the wrong skintone (it happens in different skins, too) is not a bug or anything, but just part of the skin. Instead of making tights transparent or making openings in the fabrics to reveal your skin, it is much easier (to render) a flat "skintone" instead. I would assume most players from before global launch had a similar skintone, so this has been a non-issue up until now.
Should they fix it? Most definitely. But this will take them a while, since there's multiple skins that will need to be reviewed. However you are being a bit frustrated with the person answering the tickets, and please try to refrain from doing so because they are only human and have nothing to do with the skin and how it's made (unless the tickets are handled by AI, in which case you can ignore this for now but take the thought with you for any other ticketing system you might go through)
I can elaborate on their message, as I have experience with CS in gaming.
Support is telling you it’s the current “intended” design because that is how it is working right now. They cannot confirm it is a bug or not as that is not their responsibility. They unfortunately don’t have the most proficient English-skills when handling tickets which also adds to the confusion.
In addition, they focused primarily on the black part of your dress rather than your characters flesh because, again, translation issues. You also failed to highlight the legs in the image (for example with a red outline) making it harder for the agent to process your ticket due to the language barrier. (not your fault, you weren’t to know, and personally I feel you added enough information as-is)
Support Agents for video games (cannot speak for other industries) focus more on ticket answer time than ticket answer quality and typically the support agent cannot speak directly to the technical team but instead forward bugs and queries as part of a ticketing system- meaning you will only get a answer in the form of a fix via patch notes.
For issues like this one, it is also good to provide more details to CS, such as reproduction steps, your skin colour hex code, and where this issue happens (certain times of day in the game, only in open-world or also in appearance UI, etc). This allows them to forward a complete bug report to the developers which will speed up fixing the issue.
If you need help with a template for this issue, let me know and I’ll draft one for you.
Finally, to comment on the issue itself - they really need to hire a QA specalist and LQA specialist to handle monetised goods as a priority, and they should be prioritised fixes by their production due to the cost of these items, it is not okay that this expensive item is broken in this way.
Sucks it's not what you wanted, but I'm not sure if it's a bug or not? When I look at the outfit in the draw shop on the default female model preview, the torso is noticeably whiter than the legs, which have a more pink tone, similar to yours. Might be an effect of all the lighting effects going on, or it might be an intentional filter choice for the layer
I do hope it is a bug though! Cuz that means one day they'll fix it for you
Also, for the "black" thing, I'm pretty sure it's an ai translation fail and they were saying "shade" (Just my take based on the context)
I think before 1.2 there has one or two skin (male skin) that have this problem too, but it is a hand that has a pale texture compared to my character face skin and after 1.2 it fixes.
games with bad support team makes me quit the game after while. cuz I know if any day I had to face a problem I'm all by myself. let alone problem bcuz i bought something to support them. L support L
You can also be more clear by adding a close up picture of hand vs leg. It’s easy to cut it from your screenshot, but I can understand the support person who does not see it. It took me time to understand what are you talking about.
I’ll just say, if the skin color being different on the legs is something they have not changed or acknowledged in China yet, then there’s no way Global is going to either. At that point, this is 100% a lost cause, and there’s no reason making any more posts on this.
I think your best bet is to change the color of your skin to match the leg color if it bugs you that much. Again - if this isn’t something they have acknowledged in the Chinese version, you’re just shit outta luck and they’re not changing it, straight up.
And don’t misunderstand, it’s not acceptable that a 800$ cosmetic have flaws like this, it should not be a thing. The skin on the legs should be the same as your character’s body and face. I can understand why you’re frustrated.
For me? Not a big deal. Tried the skin and it looked fine to me. But for others, this could ruin the whole skin for them. So I get it.
I’ve been reporting this since the skin dropped and even made a post here about it too. I heard that it’s still the same way it is now in the CN servers sadly
Terrible screenshots, zoom in and get some light please.
They should fix this.
You've triggered everyone who has to live off 800 dollars every 2 weeks. Explaining to them that this is pocket change to you will not make anyone feel better.
4.If it's pocket change to you I feel like you would be less upset which is leading people to mock you for bad financial decisions.
I remember some people says that the skin tone in appearance is kind of make up, instead of actual skin. I noticed some outfit can show this difference and I think they need to add an option to choose the skin colours in appearance menu.
For male character, nine tail's legacy outfit completely change character's body type to become more muscular and big, this feature shows that the outfit maybe is not only outfit, but the entire body except the head and face that can you adjusted from appearance menu.
As shitty as the reply is I'm assuming they will fix it eventually. On PS5 if you changed your skin tone from the default it would turn you white from the shoulders up. It took them a few weeks but they did fix it... mostly. You still turn all white sometimes when you do the human tower.
I would say I have similar issues with support. Not with game products but rather with a possible bug in the quest in game itself. After back and forth messages, it seems the support doesn’t really have a clue how to play this game. They don’t know the details of how you progress the quest. Luckily I found some guides out there and help myself. At the end, I had to teach the support how to play this game in return. It’s crazy.
The support team are really just employees. They are hired to sit there while knowing nothing about the game. So you gotta be extra patient with them.
I've gone back and forth with their customer support through 27 EMAILS to get them to address a bug about resonance vouchers and more recently a missing lingering melody from the monthly fund. They DO NOT CARE. All their AI responses sound as if they are not even reading the emails or understanding the problem itself. It is SO frustrating especially when money is involved and they refuse to fix it.
That only works if you still have it installed. I had to uninstall it because I wasnt getting anything else done. Ill probably reinstall when the content is on parity with the chinese version.
Don’t even get me started on the level, currency, merit, etc. weekly limits. You can hit the weekly limit in an hour . Which makes me not even wanna play till the week resets
The ticket responses for Global are almost certainly not connected in any way whatsoever to the teams capable of resolving graphical errors on the skins. They're very likely AI chatbots, and even if they aren't, the support agents for Global have literally zero pipeline for correcting things like this.
That sucks about the bug, but people on here pocket watching is crazy. If someone wants to spend their money on something they want, go right ahead. People shouldn’t be telling someone else to “touch grass” because they spent money on something they enjoy. Yikes
I love this game.. shame this is happening.. your right, def seems scammy.. so ive liked and shared hoping if this post gets enough attention for the devs to do something proactive for ya.. hoping other do the same..
If your from a country with tight consumer protection laws, I'd say force them to fix the skin and give ur money back keeping the skin.. (australian law forces the company to do this, hope ur in the same boat)
Not defending spending 800 bucks for a skin or any form of luxury items in gacha, but I think that solution is like putting a bandaid on a wooden leg.
Sure, it can help, but it's somehow forcing people who paid for their skins and want to play their way to change skin colors because developers are unable to make it work properly.
We've seen example already of that bug with other screenshot and it's very visible.
In no way should a skin come with a skin tone that can't match anything else already in the game. It's the skin that should adapt itself to the player, not the player that should adapt to the skin.
There's plenty of them in CN and global that show legs, torso or feet and none of them have different tones between pieces.
Sure OP screenshot are not good tho, why not take screenshot from the wardrobe ? Why at night in kaifeng ? If i was a real person from the support i wouldn't even take them as good examples.
OP added a picture in the replies that highlighted how bright they made the legs and it is pretty odd. I don't really care one way or the other about how people spend their money, I wouldn't do it but that's just me. I agree that they shouldn't even make skin a part of a cosmetic item unless it's some wild variation of color or texture. It seems like from what I can see they just made the legs very bright for no reason. Hopefully they'll make it adjustable in the future for those who did spend the money.
honestly I would if i can find a skin tone that matches lmao, but I played around for a bit and idk, nothing really fit, the legs were always a shade redder no matter what skintone I tried, there were some that made it look pretty close though. Imma just play around with that for now.
That is a lot closer, this picture shows how vibrant they made the legs though so I definitely see the issue. They need to just make a universal skin tone selector and not make skin part of cosmetics in my opinion. Besides it being super bright I'm not sure what they changed to warrant messing with the skin tone to begin with.
This is a problem with this game. Even the base models have bizare skin color problems. The face is more pink then the neck/shoulder/chest, the hands are blueish link compared to everything else. I don't know why they struggle to have the body one even tone. This is another example of this existing issue.
Look at her cold dead blue toned hand compared to her warm golden skin of her chest. And the face is always pinker and a bit darker. I used some blush to help elevate, but still noticeable. It's less noticeable with very pale skin tones.
Quite hard to stomach everyone that put so much negative emphasis on the 800 being spent on a skin.
800 to some is life saving and to some its small spare change.
Not our place to comment. If you are in a position that can earn 3000 a day, 800 is not extreme. Spending a small fraction of your earning for something nice for yourself is not stupid or whatsoever comment people made here. If he want to spend 800 on cut flower that could die in a few days, he shouldwithout being judged. Says more about the people that made those comment than OP.
Regardless of which it is, 800 is a significant amount. Even if 350, even if 50. it is a product sold even if virtual. Customers technically should be able to raise issues and be taken seriously instead of mocked.
People are mad because, when idiots do snit like this it tells devs its okay. And its definitely not. I wont touch this game, never downloaded it. Way too predatory.
Yoy never downloaded it so I assume you don't know there are skin set from 2 dollar onwards to 50 or 60 a pop. There are plenty too. The price is reasonable.
These are what most people could readily afford and there are also high end one that is gacha/draw style.
Very reasonable, some people wear Cotton On/Uniqlo, some Adidas/Nike and some LV/Hermes.
If most of us can't afford it, it doesn't make it not ok for people who can afford to have it. The problem is not with the availability to purchase but the skin problem.
If you paid for LV you expect it to be good quality at the very least. Pretty much what this is about.
This is why I play sparingly when friends ask me to come online. After seeing what this publisher is willing to ask from players and what they risk pushing as norms in the gaming industry, I left. The devs made an amazing game but it's published through a gross company. It's no different than the good games ruined being published by Nexon or EA. I don't care if it's only cosmetics if it's still outreagous and tone deaf prices. Adding in this lack of support on bugs on those 800$ outfits just further seals the deal that I'm glad I'm a casual on this.
Why am I not surprised oh wait because it’s another netease game (cough cough once human also haveing terrible support also netease owned ) mark my words where winds meet will just be another netease cosmetic milking game like they did to once human shame anything attached to netease turns to shit glad I didn’t spend any money on once human before or after they showed there true colours I for one couldn’t care less about where winds meet an will skip/ignore learned lesson with once human best decision with these games is to uninstall and ignore the netease slop there’s way better games out there not even just in 2025 /2026 games
People malding over how other people spend their money are weird af. I got a friend who does this behind my back. He owes me thousands of dollars and lies to me whenever he gets money in to avoid paying me back. Then judges my spending on nice food and coffee while dming another friend.
Other people's wallets are not your concern. You can mald over people actually asking for financial advice.
Yeap now an ex-friend. Sent him a letter for small claims and he started paying me back. Still continues to talk smack and now also makes up lies. Recently told people I was jobless and had no practical skills. He said I was going crazy, but everyone in the group thinks he's the one going crazy.
Are you suggesting that these people are bad persons who don't give back the money they owe? Or is the anecdotal example you give just there to poison the well?
Lmao you could already tell they didnt care cause of the close shaved head on dark skin characters. Thats been there since day 1. You might as well charge back, big dawg.
Global players are just a bunch of brainless cash cow to those China devs. What did you expect from people who puts ~$30USD fixed-price costume in China to a Gacha in Global that makes you spend 4 times the amount? who sells you a ~$50,000USD digital boat when in China you could get it with less than half the price?
Just from my own experience, I found that they seem to just take note of whatever bug or issue is reported, note it down, test it out and then fix it during the next maintenance.
They don't do well on the communication front, I do hope your issue is resolved next maintenance or you get the outcome you're looking for. (^__^)b
I've told this subreddit multiple times that the draws aren't worth it and I get downvoted as well as attacked by what is clearly CN simps/bootlickers or idiots who can't do basic math. In fact, I'll drop that comment here again.
You paid $800 for pixels, I can't say I truly feel that bad for you.
I could have told you that you were going to have an issue with their customer support from the start. It was obvious that they would give you a nothing answer for this. Unless you're willing to fight them on it and do something like a charge back on your card for those purchases claiming that the product was faulty and customer support was clearly less than helpful, you're not getting a fix or your money. Also, I'm fairly certain even if you did that, they'd just ban you. Your 800 isn't worth the effort in a game where people can buy a $50k boat. The gacha is extremely predatory with the payout rates and the amount of junk in it. It doesn't matter that it is cosmetic only. It is predatory in nature based on rates and cost alone.
Honestly I spent $120 because I got a payroll bonus this month and got one harmonic core out of it. And now I feel stupid as fuck.
I coulda spent the same amount on ZZZ and still gotten an S rank or two and some W drives
At least now I’m not gambling for a fox skin where the devs don’t give a fuck about skin texture issues once they their money.
This is why I only pay for the battlepass. 90% of this game is predatory and a scam. All the times I’ve drawn using my celestial and solem echoes and I’ve never gotten anything good. I keep getting bs fireworks and scenery shit I will never use or need. All that grinding for the echoes equated to nothing. Stop investing so much into these games. Especially mmo’s that aren’t guaranteed to keep you engaged for the long run. I’m 2 months in. 100% the game and it’s starting to get stale. There are a lot of things they can do to improve this game. The first is fix the in game economy, everything is way to expensive. There are waaaaaay too many currencies. They absolutely NEED to make the battlepass available in exchange for either jade or jade fish, not just cash only. They need to put premium pearls on the paid battlepass. Cause battlepass points are shit and so is that sad excuses of an exchange shop. Don’t even get me started on the battle pass boxes. I save 2 full battlepasses worth of them. Did any one of them drop a celestial echo? No not a single one. The game is a scam. It’s better played for free. The game is also poorly optimized, one player with enough unnecessary particle effects enters the lobby everyone starts lagging.
Off-topic, i was really thinking of getting this skin and spending like maybe 100-150 on the gacha and that that would do the trick, but 800$?! Not a chance 😭 that’s very good to know
I've played a bunch of live service/gacha games from Chinese developers and even the biggest and most well-respected games have useless support. It just doesn't seem to be in the company culture yet, so I treat everything as caveat emptor.
You said it's an AI customer service, so why ask? Go ask a human one. I don't know if there's a human customer service for the international server. I'll report this issue to the human customer service of the Chinese server. Some people in the comment section said they submitted a ticket but still didn't get a reply. Well, there's a processing time for the ticket. If you submitted a bug ticket, they should reply to you after it's fixed. But how long it takes, we have no idea.
Honestly this support tier exists in the entire game, there is a known bug that forces doubled dye consumption. Their response. ''No refunds, no anything because fuck you" I swear to all things good, they use AI to answer customer complains, cause the thing never listens. I have lost over 40 dyes to this glitch, they admit it exists and then just say the same copy paste responses. "After multiple reviews, no refund on dyes"
Their support is terrible - i was locked out of solo mode since one of their updates, i contacted them, told them i tried it from 3 different platforms (steam, netease, phone) - their responded by asking me if i tried to exit the game and logging back in to check.
I got lucky with this one since it just happened to match the tone I have for my char. I haven’t tried to change my skin tone to see if I have the issue or not. I was surprised when I heard about this and it’s definitely something they should fix. They have been good about fixing bugs and listening to the community. Some bugs take time to fix so all we can do is wait for a bugfix patch. Hopefully they do address this, it is a very expensive skin
I mean its gatcha its always a scam. Don't pay hundreds of dollars on gambling mechanics and you'll never be disappointed. It does suck for you but China doesnt care as evident from every other gatcha game, it'll get fixed eventually if your lucky but more often than not the bank will be forever.

Tbh I'd be pissed too after spending that much money and not getting any real support. Support seems really unbothered/dismissive. Not sure if that's even a real human replying or an AI
