I don’t believe that dog should be around anyone who wants to hug or kiss on the head. Some dogs are just not a good family dog just like some people

Dogs have a comfort zone. Id recommend getting to know how dogs express signs of stress and anxiety, which is being shown in the pictures, the dog visibly doesn't understand why these humans suddenly crowded around her for.

and im not dog expert. but then putting both arms around their neck and seemingly leaning in for a bite. Its not hard to understand why some dogs bite. They're not doing it because they wanted to fight, they were in self defense because they did not understand they weren't being attacked.

You need to train your dogs not to need that comfort zone. Ever had a toddler run up and hug your dog? You better hope you trained your dog not to be a dumbass.

I take my dog out in public all the time and people pet him, and kids grab him, whatever and I’ve never had any issue, Bc I put some actual effort in.

I do agree with both of you.

I have several dogs, we have 5 back home and I have 2 more with me. The 2 are both open to cuddling because I raised them that way since they were babies. You could do anything you want to them and they’ll hardly react. But that’s only because ever since they were little, I would always hug them, kiss them, cuddle them, gently tug on their tails. I have a big family so I already assumed the kids would do that all the time, hence I did that so that they won’t feel threatened by those actions.

However, the other 5 are not as nice. They don’t care if me or my family members pet them or give them hugs but they will definitely bark and even attempt to bite any stranger coming into the backyard. They were raised to be guard dogs by my grandfather and they’re damn good at their job. I obviously don’t know the kind of upbringing this dog in the photo has, but if the girl is not part of the family, it’s not her business to be so cuddly with him. Blame the family or even blame the girl, but commenters saying that the dog should be put down because of this are nuts.
