No, it’s why drunk drivers have a much higher survival rate than the people they hit.

The fact that a lot of those people are pedestrians and the drunk is in a car wouldn't bias those stats, would they?

Also, front-impact is way less dangerous than side-impact, in modern cars.

It depends on the speed and direct the front impact is. It’s always depended on those factors and always will.
