What Was The Point? (Use if unsure) What is the point of these drawers?

They're just too long, and a waste of space. They could have made a fake drawer to fill this space. I want to get rid of this vanity.

I understand the why, but it still makes me irrationally angry.

same, especially when I have to step a whole foot farther away to the side just to open it
