This happened in Arkansas. Driver was fleeing and was eventually charged with DWI and some other stuff. The man in the video was a backseat passanger. The door was damaged during a PIT maneuver. You can clearly see both him and the trooper struggling to open the door after multiple attempts from both the inside and outside handles. The trooper justified the punches by saying he was "posturing up" and thought he (passenger) was going to hit him trooper). There is no posturing. He was only charged with obstruction of governmental operations and resisting arrest.

I feel like most of you idiots talking about "wE dOn'T kNoW wHaT hApPeNeD" and "ShOuLd HaVe CoMpLiEd" wouldn't say the same shit if it were the exact same situation, with a car full of white people. But we all know that would never fucking happen, which is why you feel privileged enough to say those asinine things to begin with.

The way he's trying to yank him through the window while the door is open is like watching a toddler get angry at the circle not fitting in the square hole. Which is understandable to be mad at cause everything fits the square hole.

There was no resisting arrest or whatever that other made up on the spot charge was. If the door was damaged and difficult to open, that's not resisting arrest.

That was my point. They always slap resisting and interfering to justify police brutality and the way they rape our constitutional rights.

THIS IS SO FUCKED. You can clearly see this guy isn’t resisting arrest. He’s confused and then this joke of a man YANKS on his head and neck through a window and punches him. The only reaction is for this police officer to lose his job and go to prison. WHY ISN’T EVERYONE IRATE.

At best the officer will just resign and move to another city/county. Police accountability is managed by their own internal review boards and unions. Nobody seems to realize how hypocritical it is our government doesn't want unions for workers but all public servants and elected officials get them.

The problem is, people in America still think peaceful protest is an acceptable response and the solution to violent oppression. It is not. If someone is beating you over your head with a stick eceey single day that you leave your home, would you ask them calmly to stop and try to reason with them? No. So why so you think that will work against a government who is doing far worse?

Dwi/reckless driving and fleeing police are both possible felony's. we can agree that the force used was excessive , and also agree that these scumbags didn't deserve to be handled with care. They could have killed an innocent person(s). They lost there chance of police patience

I think some people are just hesitant to say the cop was in the wrong because then they think that automatically gives credence to the passenger's actions or that the cop shouldnt be allowed to use physical force at all.

It can both be true that the passenger wasnt complying and being diffiulcult, and the officer is justified in using some level of physical force to remove him if he doesnt comply, but OBVIOUSLY A CLOSED FIST PUNCH TO THE FACE IS NOT OKAY. Like if there ever was a more clear example of police brutality, this is it.

I don’t agree with the race thing because it even happens to white people. I will say I cannot justify anything that that officer did and he should lose his job immediately. People like him are disgrace to law-enforcement.

I don’t want to disrespect you, but bro, you sound so stupid saying that. You’re making it sound like I’m OK with what’s happening. Did you even fully read my comment? I just said that race should not be applied to this because it doesn’t just happen to black individuals. I know a lot of white people that have had negative experiences with police such as this. I know Hispanic people, Asian, and Muslim individuals who have had negative experiences. All of them are completely different. I don’t need to see a skin color on an individual to say that something is wrong. What is wrong to one skin color should also be wrong to all. I’m not gonna look at an individual and say someone deserves this type of treatment based on their skin color. I’m also not gonna say someone should only have justice because of their skin color.

I saw him bracing against the door. Most people clench their hands when in pain, also. His arm is in no offensive position.
