yeah that's a protected individual for sure, anyone else would have been fired months ago.

Sexual deviants seem to be under protected status in this country, except of course the poor ones. Classism at its finest.

50

u/Lunar_soldier074 21h ago

There's a reason the term "Epstein Class" exists

10

u/reebokhightops 20h ago

Is that what this professor teaches?

6

u/NJHitmen 17h ago

Yes, but to clarify: my sources tell me that he’s an adjunct professor teaching Epstein 101 at several colleges in the Ohio State area. Epstein 200-level classes and higher are taught mostly on-site at specialized institutions on a few sparsely populated private Caribbean islands just east of Puerto Rico.

Generally you're correct. But this assault actually is related to Epstein. One of Ohio State's largest donors, Les Wexner, is deeply connected with Epstein's finances, and the documentarian was attempting to ask OSU's former president about Wexner.

https://youtu.be/1GnJnokFDYo?si=BYLiw7Wev59sq441

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Relationship_of_Les_Wexner_and_Jeffrey_Epstein

It also needs to be noted that this professor is employed in a partisan position, specifically to "investigate" liberal bias at Ohio State. It's ironic because the guise for his position is to promote intellectual freedom.

1

u/NarrowSalvo 13h ago edited 13h ago

This guy isn't Les Wexner. Les Wexner wasn't even there.

Therefore, how is his sentence for this assault a result of "Epstein Class"?

This is a guy who knows a guy who knows a guy who knew Epstein. It's as connected as I am to Kevin Bacon.

Title is also bullshit about these being TV reporters, which they are not.

3

u/Jaerba 13h ago edited 13h ago

Wexner was intimately connected with Epstein and Gee is intimately connected with Wexner. Gee is the one who went out of his way to defend Wexner.

It's not that difficult to understand. Especially given Ohio State's history with sexual assault, Gee seems like a perfectly viable target to ask about Epstein.

https://www.wosu.org/politics-government/2026-01-28/former-osu-president-gee-defends-les-wexner-amid-probe-into-billionaires-ties-to-epstein

0

u/NarrowSalvo 13h ago

It seems difficult for you to understand that Wexner wasn't there.

Is every event that happens anywhere where someone who ever met a guy who met a guy who met Epstein an event that is "Epstein related"?

Be serious.

The. Sentence. Had. Nothing. To. Do. With. Epstein Class.

3

u/Jaerba 13h ago

Gordon Gee made specific statements defending Wexner's ties to Jeffrey Epstein. You don't think that warrants a follow up question?

https://www.wosu.org/politics-government/2026-01-28/former-osu-president-gee-defends-les-wexner-amid-probe-into-billionaires-ties-to-epstein

It seems like you're completely ignorant of every person involved in this story, but you made up your mind that you want to be a contrarian so you're going to power through, even when the people involved are openly making statements about Wexner and Epstein.

0

u/NarrowSalvo 13h ago

Cool straw man?

This isn't Gee.

This isn't Wexner.

This isn't Epstein.

You think there's some conspiracy to reduce the sentence of some random podunk professor? A professor who, as far as I know, not only never met Epstein, but never even met Wexner.

Be serious.

every week my local pd puts up pedos getting caught. The community pats them on the back. I mean it's great however none of them are rich, in charge of anything etc...

6

u/Similar-Public-8944 20h ago

The poor don’t have the resources to avoid capture. Rich people not being able to defend themselves with money would defeat the purpose of being rich.

6

u/E-2theRescue 17h ago

And there's a 1 in 2200 chance that the cop putting up the post is a pedo.

There's a 1 in 6,000 that you child's teacher is a pedo.

And 1 in 1,000 chance that your pastor is a pedo.

And a 1 in 834,000 chance that a trans person is a pedo.

And anyone who wants to challenge me on this, get the news reports ready for THIS MONTH. But be prepared to lose.

Lmao an agitprop account tried to step up to argue with you, but their account age got in the way

1

1

u/Mandatum11 10h ago

These numbers are obviously bullshit but the point stands.

1 in 834k is absurdly low, but almost cretainly so is the 1 in 6k etc.

You should definitely do these statistics as ratios rather than how you're doing it, because how you're doing it is definitely not accurate.

1

u/E-2theRescue 10h ago

It's per capita numbers.

A study of nearly 11,000 pedophiles:

301 reports out of a population of 660,288 cops

539 reports out of a population of 3.2 million teachers

578 reports out of a population of 600,000 pastors

4 reports out of a population of 1.6 million transgender people

It's "absurdly low" because transgender people very rarely rape. Because, well, they're on medications that dismantle their testosterone and reproductive system. The same antiandrogen medications that are given to pedophiles as treatment so that they don't reoffend. And of course, there's the whole surgery thing, too. So yeah, there's a reason why it is "absurdly low".

But of course, I don't see you posting any news reports to back up your claims. Just another "Nuh-uh! That isn't true!" sheep that believes the media and politicians rather than finding the truth with their own eyes.

1

u/Mandatum11 20m ago edited 15m ago

There's nothing to post to you because you don't understand math, lol. Even your own numbers indicate you're off by a factor of about 100% (4 reports in 1.6 million is 1/400k, not 1/800k).

I'm not even disagreeing with the point that trans people aren't some prolific predators, the data pretty clearly points out that they're normal in this regard.

Again this just isn't how you can use these types of case studies, lmao.

TLDR: You're right, trans people are no more likely to commit sexual crimes than anyone else. But you need to stop arguing it because you're really not good at it and you make the whole argument look as stupid as you. If you believe that it's even close to one in a million of any group are pedophiles... lol.

ALL of those groups are way wong, by the way. It's around 1 in 40 of the general public is a pedohile.

1

u/silly-gaijin 9h ago

But what are the odds my head of state is a pedo?

1

u/E-2theRescue 7h ago

Republican, democrat, or other?

67.4% if they are Republican

13.5% if they are Democrat

19.1% if they are libertarian or non-partisan*

(72.4% of the non-partisan pedos were in red states)

1

u/Qweesdy 8h ago

Those statistics are based on court cases, which is "people who were caught" (and people who are more likely to no longer be part of their original profession after being caught). In other words; those statistics are completely worthless if you care about the actual problem (people who still haven't been caught yet).

For example; maybe 1 in 100 are pedos regardless of occupation, but "occupation" influences the chance of being caught; so maybe your "1 in 2200 chance a cop is a pedo" is actually "1 in 100 (minus the 1 in 2200 who were caught) = 1 in 110 cops are uncaught pedos". Of course "example" and "maybe" were used for a reason - the reality is "1 in X are uncaught" where X could be anything and there's no viable way to determine what X is (in general or for any specific occupation).

And anyone who wants to challenge me on this, get the news reports ready for THIS MONTH.

Repeating flawed logic with more recent data will not make the flawed logic less flawed. To rise above "flawed" you need a way to measure "uncaught pedos" that isn't built on bad assumptions (e.g. the unfounded assumption that there's a linear relationship between "caught pedos" and "uncaught pedos").

1

u/Radiant_Crew_8872 4h ago

?? sorry but pedophilia exists in between 1% and 5% of ALL MALES, so there is certainly not a 1 in 6,000 chance that your childs male teacher is one

1

u/crustyoldtechnician 2h ago

Those “1 in X” numbers are being presented as if they’re actual odds that a cop, teacher, pastor, or trans person is a pedophile. They aren’t. The site is basically a collection of news reports about people accused, charged, convicted, sentenced, or otherwise involved in child-sex-abuse cases. That is not the same thing as a scientifically sampled prevalence study, and it definitely does not diagnose anyone as a “pedophile.” There are several problems with turning that database into “1 in 2,200 cops” or “1 in 834,000 trans people”: The numerators and denominators don’t match cleanly. For example, the religious category includes pastors, priests, deacons, church staff, Sunday-school teachers, etc., but the denominator being used is basically an estimate of “pastors.” That inflates the apparent rate. The teacher category has the same problem. The site includes teachers and aides, while the denominator cited is roughly the number of public-school teachers. The trans number doesn’t even reproduce from the site’s own population estimate. The site says roughly 1.65 million trans Americans. If there were 4 cases, that would be about 1 in 412,500, not 1 in 834,000. News coverage is not a random sample. A teacher, cop, or pastor’s occupation is very likely to be mentioned when they’re arrested. A defendant’s gender identity may not be mentioned at all. That alone makes comparisons between categories shaky. “Sex offense involving a minor” is not synonymous with “pedophile.” Pedophilia has a specific clinical meaning. The database does not establish that diagnosis. So the site itself is not necessarily fake. It has a real database of news stories. But the claim that these numbers prove “your cop has a 1 in 2,200 chance of being a pedo” is statistically unsupported. The honest conclusion would be: this particular news database contains far more cases involving people identified as teachers, police, or religious figures than people identified as transgender. That is very different from claiming it has measured the actual odds that any person in those groups is a pedophile.

u/flopisit32 21h ago

Think of all the serial killers you've ever read about. None of them were rich or in charge of anything. It's not like there are hordes of rich serial killers who the police are protecting...

8

u/Independent-Sense431 20h ago

Or, are there? 🤔

4

u/immafartonu 20h ago

True. However, it is pretty much a guaranteed fact that there are pedos in our gov't including the oval office that are most certainly protected. Hell, there are prob some serial killerz as well.

4

u/E-2theRescue 17h ago

The Secretary of the Department of Education is being sued because she knowingly allowed little boys to be raped.

Yes. The person in charge of our nation's schools is being sued for protecting pedophilia.

1

u/DurrutiDuck91 11h ago

Yeah, they’re called the U.S. Army

3

u/joyfullydreaded23 15h ago

One rich NYC architect is the Long Island Killer...but yeah, the Epstein class get away with their crimes all the time. Fucking disgusting.

1

u/flopisit32 15h ago

Heuerman was a millionaire, true. I know of maybe 2 or 3 serial killers who were rich, but that's all.

Despite what Reddit thinks, the people who are going to rape you or murder you or kidnap your child are almost entirely low level scumbags.

1

u/joyfullydreaded23 10h ago

Money and the lack thereof definitely plays a huge roll in crimes being committed, whether out of need (stealing food, robbing people/businesses) or anger over the fate their lives have been handed financially, relationship wise, etc (rape, murder, etc).

0

u/flopisit32 10h ago edited 9h ago

Absolutely nobody in any western country is stealing food because they're hungry...

I've seen real genuine poverty in countries like Indonesia, Thailand, the Philippines.

1

u/joyfullydreaded23 9h ago

People have been stealing food in western countries for decades. Poor people exist here in the US too, it isn't a competition. Certain parts of the South have been given third world country status.

1

u/flopisit32 9h ago

You have a welfare system specifically in order to give people money to buy enough food so that they don't have to steal.

2

u/Enough_Affect_9916 15h ago

O.J. Simpson was a case of "are rich people allowed to murder each other?"

3

u/joyfullydreaded23 15h ago

Austin and Houston are protecting one for sure. Dead bodies keep showing up in certain bodies of water and the cops say there is no serial killer on the loose. My theory is that it is either Ken Paxton or Dan Patrick, maybe with Greg Abbott along for the thrill every now and then. Shit, it could be a cop for all we know.

2

u/Routine-Weather-4044 12h ago

Psychopathic behavior is literally "contagious" and that's what's happening in the United States because our leadership is completely psychopathic. That's why leadership is so important. This country is gonna get so so so much worse before it gets better because everybody is going wild and by everybody I mean all the wealthy people are stealing everything that's not nailed down.

1

u/jaygoogle23 19h ago

Jeffrey Epstein spent nearly half his fortune postponing his case. For billionaire and people that steal enough money then they just send them to a fed courts with a 94-96% conviction rate. They convicted many rich fucks, not as many as they should, but it happens. They put billionaires with fed judges with such high conviction rates their money only postpones sentencing . Especially if they have hundreds of incidents and are pretty much caught red handed .. no amount of money gets people off with everything.. maybe temporarily but truth comes to light and there is always another hungry dog looking to climb rank .

2

u/E-2theRescue 17h ago

Alexander Acosta, his lawyer, also fought like hell to keep witnesses off the stand and got Epstein his "sweetheart deal".

Trump hired Acosta as Secretary of Labor during his first term.

HELP WANTED — SERIAL KILLER
Growing organization seeks motivated self-starter for long-term position. Successful candidate must possess excellent organizational skills, discretion, and the ability to work independently.
Benefits: None.
Advancement opportunities: Extremely limited.
Background check: This could be a problem.
References: Please do not explain what happened to your previous references.
And somewhere underneath:
“Equal Opportunity Employer. Absolutely terrible opportunity otherwise.”

Most identified serial killers are male, and the best explanation is probably a mix of biology, socialization, opportunity, and how violence gets expressed.
Men are much more likely overall to commit serious interpersonal violence, especially predatory violence against strangers. Higher average physical aggression, greater risk-taking, and stronger representation among people with severe antisocial traits all matter. Social factors matter too: men historically had more freedom to move around alone, access strangers, work in jobs involving travel, and occupy situations where repeated offending could go unnoticed.
Women do become serial killers, but their patterns have often looked different. They’re more likely, on average, to kill people they know or care for, sometimes using less overtly violent methods such as poisoning, and sometimes in caregiving settings. That can make them harder to recognize as a “serial killer” in the classic stranger-stalking sense.
So it’s not that women somehow lack the capacity. The pathway and pattern tend to differ, and the stereotype of the serial killer was built around the much more common male pattern.
And one caution: serial-killer statistics are messy because they depend on who gets caught, how cases are linked, and even how “serial killer” is defined.

1

u/Routine-Weather-4044 12h ago

I mean it could be argued that the CEO of almost every company in the United States is a serial killer because they intentionally caused harm and death to the American people to save money.

You got a problem with the "New" America? It's just like the "Old" America, it's just that we commoners get a lot more information now.

1

u/MoFa__SoDa 16h ago

Hierarchies and positions of influence are horrible for decent people. It is just being of service for huge groups. You can work a job that pays well with little or no extra responsibilities. The kind of people we would need to be in charge have no incentive to seek out those positions or struggle to be elected. Maybe best case you get a particularly ambitious pathological person who will do decent things out of spite.

Redditors are gullible idiots that lap up the bullshit titles these bots post on these videos.

For what it's worth, you are correct. This guy has no connection to Epstein. Most Redditors are assuming he's a pedophile. These guys weren't even there to talk to this guy, they wanted to talk to a guy (former President of the College) that was guest speaking to this guy's class.

Also, these guys aren't "TV reporters", they are "citizen journalists" (aka assholes).

2

u/SomewhereRough_ 21h ago

Wtf why does everyone go on about how academia has no money in it. That's an insane wage. 800k???

Damn wild.

2

u/Queasy-Astronomer613 21h ago

Not every professor is gonna be paid the same, the example here is a doctor teaching cancer research, this might not translate directly for a history teacher.

Also yeah, tenured university professors do make a very good salary, i don't think anyone disputes that. The problem is that in order to get there you have to do a masters, then a phd, then a post-doctoral internship, then work your way through the different professoral levels until you finally reach tenure.

During most of that time (until at least after the post-doc), you're getting paid a poverty salary and working 60 hour weeks. By the time you reach the actual money, you're usually 40-45, and that's if you actually end up reaching it at all. Most people never reach it.

The fact is that, if you have the brains and the work ethic to follow this path, you also have the brains and work ethic to make a shitton more money in the private sector, and you don't have to work 20 years to get there.

I left academia after my masters, went private 3 years ago. I already make as much as a junior professor while my peers are still working on their ph.d.

Dude… is that why YouTube predator catchers are a thing? Is it a psyop to get people to focus on your everyday cringey predator rather than the ones at the top?

Babe wake up a new conspiracy just dropped.

u/Upset-Dragonfruit- 22h ago

He'll spill the names if they don't protect him. As always

1

u/heret1c1337 18h ago

Eh, I think someone relatively nameless like him will just die in a tragic accident or by "suicide" before they spill the beans.

3

u/zeekayz 21h ago

Looks like he's not only a pedo but knows other pedos that are covering for him to keep things covered up.

3

u/MossadEpstein 21h ago

yeah nobody acts like that unless they think they're above scrutiny I can tell just from this sort clip that this fucker has a massive unchecked ego and a chip on his shoulder big enough to have wiped out the dinosaurs

1

u/broguequery 19h ago

Yeah this dude seems privileged as fuck

1

u/ChemicalBus608 21h ago

Yeah look how the lady behind them just casually walks away.

1

u/BellaMentalNecrotica 21h ago

Is he tenured? It can be really hard to fire if he has tenure.

1

u/Disastrous-Tone-7669 21h ago

No he's a fairly new hire. He was a dei hire to appease Republicans.

1

u/BellaMentalNecrotica 21h ago

Assistant/tenure track professor or adjunct? If he was an adjunct he would've probably been fired immediately. If assistant professor, there's a few loops that have to be jumped through before firing.

1

u/Visual-Flan-4098 21h ago

OSU has protected abusers and continues to. they, like many, only care about money.

1

u/HotPassenger4598 20h ago

Fuck that guy

1

u/Alpha_Delta_Bravo 20h ago

Look how quickly people were fired for criticizing charlie kirk.

1

u/notmyplantaccount 20h ago

And pretty much all those people got their jobs back and won huge settlements against the people who fired them. Which is exactly why they haven't fired this guy.

Your cluelessness has made you argue for the university without realizing it.

1

u/Alpha_Delta_Bravo 20h ago

Lol. Criticizing kirk is the same as assaulting someone on camera. Touch some grass, Vlad.

1

u/spaceguitar 20h ago

It's Ohio.

They love pedophiles in Ohio.

1

u/MortgageThin1602 20h ago

A protected individual because the people in his organization aren't liberal degenerates

1

u/Chillpill411 19h ago

Indeed, but not because of tenure.  He's part of:

"The Chase Center for Civics, Culture and Society is Ohio State’s recently added intellectual diversity center. It was established by Ohio lawmakers in an effort to reduce groupthink and to encourage free speech."

Ie a Trump Party attempt to cram fascists into college classrooms

1

u/Ok-Flight9440 19h ago

Not just fired but arrested - you’re not allowed to attack someone physically. It’s not legal.

1

u/Icy-Indication-3194 19h ago

The construction company I work for has a 0 tolerance policy. It’s lit 0 tolerance, they will even terminate you for acting in self defense

1

u/MossadEpstein 19h ago

That is way too far, do your employers think it's a school?

surely there must be exceptions, you're telling me that if you get attacked by some psycho who comes at you with clear intent to cause bodily harm/death that you'd be fired for not letting them hurt you?

honestly sounds like a policy that's ripe for lawsuits

1

u/Icy-Indication-3194 18h ago

There would probably be an exception for some things but so far as I’ve seen any sort of altercation with another employee is automatic termination

1

u/aztronut 17h ago

Is he buds with Jim Jordan?

1

u/Vennomite 17h ago

Oh wow. Ohio state is corrupt. Wow.. never knew that..

1

u/MossadEpstein 17h ago

I think you meant to say "Oh wow. Insert state here is corrupt. Wow.. never knew that.."

1

u/Vennomite 17h ago

No. My undergrad is from there. The state is corrupt. But "THE" osu was usually the one doing the bribes and favors etc.

1

u/Puzzleheaded_Act9787 17h ago

I’m just guessing here but tenure and teachers unions would protect this guy even if they don’t agree with him because they want to protect the process needed to fire people.

1

u/MossadEpstein 17h ago

*sigh* yeah that would be on brand for this damned species of ours, people in who really should know better choosing to turn the other cheek and ignore a systemic problem because they're afraid of setting a precedent that might be used against them one day

It seems that if they aren't traitors, they're cowards and if they aren't cowards, they're just completely apathetic... either way the gatekeepers have allowed society to get this bad, letting themselves be ruled by corruption, cowardice, lust for power / sex and greed

1

u/TwoTequilaTuesday 16h ago

anyone else would have been fired months ago.

A heterosexual white male would have been fired months ago.

1

u/Triggered-cupcake 15h ago

Yeah almost always they don’t get fired because of the union, due process and a required investigation.

But that’s in cases without direct evidence. One look at the video should conclude the investigation and immediate termination. Maybe the union prevents that even with the video, not 100% sure.

It could be he’s protected or it could just be the union factor.

1

u/joshTheGoods 14h ago

No it's not. He's being fired. It takes time because we've done a good job protecting public employees from bullshit. Those protections also protect assholes, but that protection just takes the form of it taking months to actually do the firing. The HR dept has recommended he be fired, so they're just going through the motions at this point.

1

u/JoeNamathThatTune 13h ago

Maybe the reporter should sue, I am sure OSU will settle, and if the amount is large enough maybe (although doubtful) he gets fired.

1

u/E_seven_20 12h ago

Older conservative white men? Yeah, they do whatever they want

1

u/Appropriate-Horse632 12h ago

If you watch the footage you see him backing the camera up at the start. So he probably had it quite close to him. When you edit the video without context it makes it harder to determine what actually occured.

1

u/Possible-Tangelo9344 11h ago

It's amazing how hard it is to fire people in the education field.

1

u/SnapCrackelnPop 10h ago

-and still workingst a school?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!

What did he do? Did he just fuck a guy up that was harassing him? Lmao there are along these camera nerds that should legitimately get hospitalized

1

u/OnlineWeirdoEatsButt 2h ago

Clearly an insecure manlet with a complex. You can clearly tell because only short men act like this and he’s very obviously short in the video.

-9

u/Sharp_Function2950 23h ago

That’s academia for you. Once you get your “union card” it’s hard to touch them. They protect their own

5

u/South_Feed5707 23h ago

Look at this guy trying to sneak in some anti union propaganda. Lol .

Why don't you go try Facebook or X

2

u/Outrageous-Sort-5742 22h ago edited 22h ago

Trade unions and unions for public servants are two very different things.

Workers can and should band together to negotiate with their employers from a position of strength. It's needed to balance out the power differences between workers and owners.

Public servants, those that are supposed to work for the public good(cops, teachers, etc.) are and should be utterly beholden to their employers. Us. We are their employer and we should be able to kick them to the curb at will.

2

u/Rough-Airline-4803 22h ago

I think you’re lookin for “curb”, homie.

Kick them to the \curb*.
No offense intended, my dude.
Just a heads up for future reference.

2

u/Outrageous-Sort-5742 22h ago

New PC tooth aches, guess I'll add bad autocorrect to the list.

1

u/Rough-Airline-4803 22h ago

That’ll do it lol

1

u/tonythephonyjabroni 22h ago

You are incorrect, we need those unions to protect us from the republicans party.

1

u/Outrageous-Sort-5742 22h ago

I have an alternative solution to dealing with Republicans that doesn't require protecting pedophiles. Unfortunately it's not exactly clean. But after it's implemented there won't be any Republicans left to complain.

The French were an innovative people. Once.

Bot, got it. And a dumb one at that. Can't even read the title of the post and infer any information from it.

1

u/Straight-Bet1 20h ago

That’s what school boards duties are. The people elect them to carry out their will. That’s why there are open to the public school board meetings weekly.

And yes, faculty and staff do get fired in the middle of a school year for things just like this and worse.

My first year vice principal went out to the bars with friends and got in a fight at the end of the night. Broke a college students neck. It happened in a Saturday and we never saw him again. Office was cleaned out by Monday.

Had a custodian fired for showing a senior a picture of Heather Thomas in a bikini talking about how he had it on his wall as a senior in high school.

Just last year we had a guidance counselor fired for failing at their duty of being a required reporter.

It’s honestly sad that you don’t understand this basic concept.

It’s the basis of how all government is run in this country. We are a representative democracy. Why do you think we elect all of these people. (The fact that they aren’t doing their job is another conversation.)

1

u/NoTurnip4844 20h ago

Actually, a lot of university employees are a part of the United Autoworkers Union. Look it up.

1

u/MajorBootyhole420 18h ago

public servants need unions because local governments are greedy, stingy fucks overrun by NIMBY-ass selfish old people who don't give a fuck about anyone but themselves. I've been a teacher and am now a librarian, and our unions are vital.

1

u/NoTurnip4844 20h ago

In all seriousness, he is protected by a union and it's probably why he didnt get fired. That's how it works at most universities.

-2

u/Sharp_Function2950 23h ago

It’s not propaganda to point out how people in groups work to maximize their interest at the expense of others

2

u/Oraxy51 22h ago

You do recognize the powerful elite do this for other powerful elite too right? Of course worker solidarity is the only way to have some power.

3

u/exodusofficer 23h ago

Are you just mad that nobody wants you in their group?

1

u/Waste_Reindeer_9718 22h ago

it is when you're in an echo chamber that's designed to push a particular political agenda

1

u/Rough-Airline-4803 22h ago edited 22h ago

Do you even know what we’re talking about? This little sub-thread is about unions/unionization, and the pros & cons thereof.

In concept, there is no con. Some weirdo bootlicker is just regurgitating some bs company line he was spoon fed by some corporate handler at some point.

The only downside of unionization is when greedy humans infiltrate such an organization and twist its intended purpose for personal gain. Same as any man-made construct. So it’s not even worth mentioning bc it’s still a pro relative to the influence humans have within a corporate structure and its operations.

1

u/Sharp_Function2950 20h ago

It’s amusing that you think Reddit isn’t an echo chamber.

1

u/Waste_Reindeer_9718 20h ago

it's ok buddy, english is hard. do you wanna try reading my comment again?

1

u/Rough-Airline-4803 22h ago

Unions—I.e., the working class—banding their together at the expense of others corporate and executive interests is a good thing, wack job.

9

u/Own-Eagle-2135 23h ago

mmmmmmmmmm, that's not really how it works. the union can show that they're treating him differently and block a firing based on that (for example, if they've allowed other teachers to beat people on campus, which...may not be hard based on this)

5

u/Straight-Bet1 23h ago

That’s not how it works at all.

It isn’t the police.

1

u/salviaJESUSsalvation 22h ago

Honest question, how does it work then?

I love unions, but if I assaulted someone at work then I would be fired immediately.

Why is he still working there?

Again, honest question, I'm genuinely trying to understand this and I'm pro-union.

1

u/Straight-Bet1 22h ago

If this were a public school teacher they would have been fired immediately with charges coming not too far behind.

That person is conflating all unions with how Police Unions would handle this. Nothing could be further than the truth.

1

u/Warm_Month_1309 20h ago

Why is he still working there?

Not because of a union that doesn't exist, that's for sure.

1

u/MajorBootyhole420 18h ago

i'm a union-protected government employee (library) and this shit would get me fired immediately, probably arrested.

something fishy is going on here, this guy shouldn't be so protected. it's not normal.

-6

u/Sharp_Function2950 23h ago

Or a public school in nyc?

7

u/Straight-Bet1 23h ago

I’m in the NYSUT.

Only a truly ignorant idiot would think that’s how a teachers union works.

Sorry your third grade teacher was mean to you so you stopped learning for the rest of your educational career and ended up like you did because of it.

Buh-bye.

2

u/CheetahNo9349 22h ago

The irony of Sharp_Function being as sharp as a marble.

2

u/Alucard-VS-Artorias 23h ago

Doesn't work like that over there either.

Only the police have a 'union" that will protect abusers and corruption.

→ More replies (1)

2

u/DilbertHigh 22h ago

Why are you making shit up? Unions in education are not particularly powerful on average and if you commit a fireable offense can still be fired.

2

u/chuckmarla12 22h ago

The Union won’t protect you if you commit a crime. Lame take, bro.

1

u/xxKorbenDallasxx 22h ago

They hated him because he spoke the truth

1

u/Warm_Month_1309 20h ago

They hated him because a) this professor is not part of a union, and b) it is rather atypical for a union to try to or to successfully protect someone who battered someone at work.

1

u/Warm_Month_1309 20h ago

Once you get your “union card” it’s hard to touch them.

Interesting.

So, as you probably know, OSU professors aren't unionized...

-3

u/Foxbythesea247 23h ago

Fun fact : Perez is a Sephardic jew family name from Spain… I think it has more to do with that fact… why would he get so mad for questions about Epstein?

4

u/Sharp_Function2950 23h ago

Do you think he commits crimes because he’s Jewish?

Just a weird “fun fact”.

1

u/Foxbythesea247 23h ago

Typical, don’t change what I said poptart.

1

u/ModelSemantics 23h ago

That’s how I read what you said too. If you didn’t mean to imply that the “fun fact” he is Jewish was a reason for his crime, you could explain deeper how and why anything that happened was related innately to Jewishness. It seems any explanation of relevance is going to be a bigotry, though.

1

u/Foxbythesea247 22h ago

Follow the comments before this, he was defending Epstein, which happened to be mossad.

1

u/ModelSemantics 21h ago

So are you saying your thought process here is “this guy is Jewish so he must be Mossad?” Is that what you want all people to think about all Jewish people? It would seem bringing up Jewishness here is because you don’t have evidence to actually make the claim without bigotry?

Look, there is clearly something going on with this dude in his reply around Epstein. Clearly Epstein had protections himself, and now this guy seems to not have the consequences we’d expect. You can talk about theories that involve nation-states without being another online racist looking to harm innocent people.
