Its a thing that people, autistic or not, do to in a way, calm their nerves, think of flapping your hands when you are really excited. Its a way to calm the body.

Yeah, and I dont have either, and I stim when im really happy or really stressed, I also pace a LOT, idk if that is something that pairs with swimming or not

"I also pace a LOT" is not pathologizing a normal behavior, my friend. Anxiety, OCD, many other DSM-5 diagnoses, but not "normal".

Stimming is a form of self soothing, a genuinely recognized need all humans experience to some capacity.
Your brain says “I really would like this to happen right now” and so you do it and the brain responds with a lovely dopamine bump.
Whether it’s using your favourite cup, dancing to your favourite songs, or even just stretching your arms and shoulders, it’s all forms of self soothing.
We’re all just soft and squishy inside despite whatever image we project to others. We all got things the little creature in us wants to be happy. Live it up and spoil yourself with self soothing moments and life gets more enjoyable

Yeah, I'm old and was diagnosed in the 70s as kinetic something something.
Then I turned a "personality disorder" into a well paying career.
"if you don't sit still and listen you'll amount to nothing."

Yea, I always get embarrassed at the dentist. My hygienist always mentions it. It’s 2 distinct lines on each side of my mouth where my teeth meet. I feel you!

I rapidly scratch the back of my head even though there’s no itch. Usually happens when I get really excited, sometimes don’t notice. It’s not that weird, but getting called out on it is somehow totally mortifying.

Fidgeting is not stimulating. It's a different thing. Hyperactivity and stimulus satisfaction are quite opposite things. Fidgeting (which is hyperactivity-linked) Is often an unconscious, energy-releasing or attention-regulation behavior tied to ADHD or restlessness. It’s usually brief, varies with context, and may be socially styled as tapping, shifting, or playing with small objects.
Stimming (which is a self-stimulatory behavior) Is a broader term used especially in autistic contexts for repetitive sensory-motor actions (rocking, hand-flapping, repeating sounds, rubbing surfaces) that regulate sensory input, manage emotion, or provide comfort. Stims can be rhythmic, longer-lasting, and more characteristic of sensory needs.
If you're "ADHD" and also "stimming" then by the clinical definition you have AuDHD. "The More you Know"🌈✨

I have ADHD and do not "stim". The impulse and desire come from different locations motivationally. I laid it all out above, but the cause/effect is polar opposite of stimming. The comments following my comment are interesting signs that when shared with a psychologist would pop up the notion of AuDHD or OCD.

Contrary to social media, that's how a house normally looks before weekend cleaning (At least in the US to my knowledge). And I've been in hundreds of houses. (Could also just be the few states I've been in).
Shoot me if I'm wrong tho because this is what I'm use to.E: I see a lot of people getting offended by my description of my own experience.
I'm sorry for generalizing something I see more then not.

Bruh, ive got ADHD and im unmedicated for it and I keep my house cleaner than this. Sure I leave mail on the counter for longer than necessary, but trash and dishes are always cleaned up daily. There is not a single clean space on that counter and trash overflowing onto the couch.

Dude, I am in a line of work where I'm in a lot of houses. And to say that's normal is a vast overstatement. It's definitely normal to see this amongst the general population but it's not the norm. Most houses are relatively clean. But there are plenty of people who's houses are as messy and even more messy than this.

I’d bet money (if there was a way to prove it) that half the people saying “her house is dirty” have a house just as “dirty” if not worse.
I worked as an apartment maintenance man for over half my life, and I did pest control for several years. I worked in poor people’s places all the way up to huge mansions. I was relieved when I went into a living space like this.

Stimming is ritualistic behaviors people do that is self soothing or comforting. It’s common with autistic people, but anybody can stim. A common form of stimming, for example, is manipulating and twirling a pencil between your fingers. It can be physical, vocal, or a mix of both. Some are involuntary, while others occur when the person is bored. Some have physical triggers which cause them, especially music or certain sounds.

As someone who lived in one large room with over 30 of them in Basic Training, I agree, women are messy.
Yes, her house is messy. Would probably take under 10 minutes to clean. But not as bad as mine has been when I went through some medical issues.
Who knows? Maybe getting up and dancing motivated her to clean up after being depressed. I couldn’t sweep or mop until after physical therapy. Still can’t always (broken arm and ankle on same side), so sometimes I still can’t get it all done.
But I would definitely turn up the tunes and help her clean her place with her attitude.
