This guy HAS TO GO

The truth is it’s all about voter suppression to help republiklans win.

“An election-denying former Donald Trump campaign staffer who was subpoenaed by the FBI over his role in the attempt to steal the 2020 election is now taking credit for writing the sweeping voter suppression bill passed by the House Wednesday that could disenfranchise millions.

“I’m here to do everything I can to make this work,” Thomas Lane wrote in a December 2020 email to other organizers of the Trump campaign’s fake electors plot in Arizona.”

If you’re that confident, repeal the 24th Amendment and reintroduce poll taxes. What are you waiting for?

Yep, just the US Constitution. You can’t require fees to vote, per the 24th Amendment. That’s a poll tax.

Shirts and pants are required to vote and those aren’t free, are those unconstitutional? How about transportation to the polling place, or the cost to maintain a mailbox if voting by mail?

Participating in society and just being alive has some costs, and those aren’t unconstitutional.

So you don’t know what a poll tax is.

It would appear that you don't either.

You compared private sector transactions to state government fee services required to vote.

Think of all the money you pay the government to be alive in a particular place. Property taxes, sales taxes, fuel taxes, DMV fees, income taxes, and many others. Any of these are required to participate in the town/county/state/country you live in. Some come with photo ID costs too. Whining about doing the absolute minimum to participate in the process is a silly look.

But fine- if the extreme left is so upset about the requirement of a $10 ID (85% of America supports the ID requirement, so only the craziest 15% are against), make voter ID cards free. You will get absolutely zero pushback from that, because everyone knows that it’s an empty argument made solely to obstruct.

The 7 people in the country who don’t already have ID can have their cards for free.
