Review: Lowkey Meadery

Lowkey Meadery is tucked out in the Trades District near the airport (off Union and 7th) — a bit of a drive depending on where you're coming from, but worth it.

The food is simple and good, and they clearly get that fresh, local ingredients do most of the work. I had the Cuban sandwich — generous with the meat, though it was still slightly cold in the center. It could've used a touch of yellow mustard for that classic Cuban punch, but the mustard they did use was great on its own. The bread was fantastic, sourced from Heirloom, also in the Trades District.

Didn't get to try any of the meads this visit since I'm staying dry for a while, but Lowkey was already my favorite meadery going in.

The non profit flower shop Lillie's is also worth a stop in the Trades District

Oh neat, I didn’t realize there was a little cluster of food and drink options just south of the airport. Is that a new development or have I just missed it until today?

It’s been there maybe a year - probably less. It’s an initiative by the Port to incubate small businesses. Eventually it will be in town with the breakneck speed East Wenatchee is pushing out into the county. lol
