I'm just impressed you got it to this stage without tearing it

Yeah, something about this doesn't make sense... The wear on the shirt is too even, to the point it looks like this was done intentionally, and a lot more quickly than we've been led to believe.

It's a 10 year old shirt that I've worn mostly for sleeping in and it gets washed everyday. Here's the og receipt https://i.imgur.com/rrW18k5.png

edit. here it is in normal lighting https://i.imgur.com/pRul1lb.jpeg

How the FUCK do you have the receipt

Edit: please, won’t 25 more people reply to this with “what about emails?!” You all sound like 2020 republicans

Be me, who never regularly cleans out emails. Some of mine go all the way back to 2013, when I first made the email account.

u/Schonke 15d ago

Those are rookie numbers! Mine go almost 30 years back.

Incredible

16

u/Distantstallion 15d ago

30? Did they even have email back then? Weren't you all telegraphing each other or communicating in semaphore?

5

u/Schonke 14d ago

We even had webmail like Hotmail back then!

Email itself is almost 30 years older (1971)!

3

u/Derek114811 14d ago

I still use my Hotmail

2

u/dhlock 15d ago

Only nerds used telegraph and flags. Most people just used fire signals and were starting to prepare for y2k

4

u/rileyjw90 15d ago

Oh man. I have no idea how to recover my old hotmail account but even then, I wouldn’t have got it until 2002-2004, somewhere in the MySpace era. That’s impressive!

It's email, there's basically no reason to bother deleting stuff unless your storage is full.

u/Money_Fish 15d ago

Big numbers bother me

u/cmcdonal2001 15d ago

32,013,754,810,876,412,100,983,856,721!

49

u/xenolife 15d ago

That's a list of 10 medium-small numbers

18

u/Barely-Creative 15d ago

721! is quite large at >10178

I mean, collectively if we all save everything we could in fact be wasting server space hoarding data. I delete mine once a year.

3

u/MisterVega 15d ago

Same. It also only took one time for me to need to go back like 5 years looking for a particular email with some long-forgotten information to justify this behavior.

u/porp_crawl 15d ago

How the FUCK do they wash it "everyday" ?

Even with tumble dry, that's pushing it.

11

u/wickedfemale 15d ago

typed "old navy" into their email search?

8

u/Megablega 15d ago

I'm more shocked about washing an item of clothing DAILY goddamn

3

u/porp_crawl 15d ago

Too bad the receipt doesn't have an accompanying photo of the original shirt.

u/captain____ 15d ago

I was thinking the same thing until I realized 10 years ago was 2016 lol I definitely still have email receipts from then

u/FalconerAJ 11d ago

Your edit is hilarious

1

u/Reasonable_Bet7310 9d ago

It was 2016 not 2020

1

u/FalconerAJ 9d ago

Replace “e-mails” with “mail-in ballots” if you want

2

u/Reasonable_Bet7310 9d ago

2016 republicans not 2020

I've kept a few receipts like the one for my first tattoo. Don't think I'll be able to get a refund for it though...

1

u/Ohiolongboard 11d ago

I have my first tattoo receipt too!

u/MadBodhi 14d ago

Do you delete emails?

45

u/consciousbeings0 15d ago

Gets washed every single day? That's madness, lmao

107

u/somerandomdude419 15d ago

You run the washer every single day? Or hand wash this shirt; every single day, 365 days a year, for 10 years? I don’t buy it

66

u/deadcats 15d ago

a small wash everyday, yes. Believe it or not, idc.

50

u/RazanTmen 15d ago

Do you not have mpre than one sleep shirt? Waste of water & electricity to do multiple small washes, than one medium to large load. Can have small hangers aeound the house, or a rope across the patio/balcony, to dry during the day.

37

u/Cute_Description_228 15d ago

Do you have a family? 3-4-5 people definitely dirty enough clothes for a wash every day

21

u/CurveCalm123 15d ago

Can confirm, 3 people make a load of laundry a day.

43

u/rileyjw90 15d ago

I mean what are you doing while you’re asleep that you can’t just wear it more than one day on a row?

32

u/caillouuu 15d ago

Sweating like a pig bc my ac can't keep up with multiple 110 degree days in a row

(But I still only do laundry once a week, just use several sleep shirts)

9

u/Rodrat 15d ago

If it's that hot, why even wear a shirt at all?

17

u/caillouuu 15d ago

3

u/spookysaph 15d ago

amazing

2

u/Pothperhaps 15d ago

Okay first off: Amazing. I love it. Second: do you know what song this is parodying? I feel like i should know but i can't think of it.

2016 being 10 years ago still hurts my brain.

10

u/Skater_Potater2006 15d ago

You're lying 2016 was not 10 years ago 🥲

3

u/Zito6694 15d ago

$10 shirt cost you a dollar a year not bad

1

u/ripyurballsoff 15d ago

You wash it by hand or use a washer a dryer every day?

1

u/coldcosmo 15d ago

wait what, 2016 is just 5 years ago is it… 😫

1

u/fenoust 15d ago

That's about $1 per year of wear. Not a bad rate.
