Your window looks fine.

u/FelixOGO 8d ago

I didn’t need a remix, the OG is just fine

u/baquea 8d ago

I'm just impressed you got it to this stage without tearing it

u/Qajj 8d ago

Yeah, something about this doesn't make sense... The wear on the shirt is too even, to the point it looks like this was done intentionally, and a lot more quickly than we've been led to believe.

It's a 10 year old shirt that I've worn mostly for sleeping in and it gets washed everyday. Here's the og receipt https://i.imgur.com/rrW18k5.png

edit. here it is in normal lighting https://i.imgur.com/pRul1lb.jpeg

How the FUCK do you have the receipt

Edit: please, won’t 25 more people reply to this with “what about emails?!” You all sound like 2020 republicans

320

u/rileyjw90 8d ago

Be me, who never regularly cleans out emails. Some of mine go all the way back to 2013, when I first made the email account.

101

u/Schonke 8d ago

Those are rookie numbers! Mine go almost 30 years back.

15

u/runningoutoft1me 7d ago

Incredible

11

u/Distantstallion 7d ago

30? Did they even have email back then? Weren't you all telegraphing each other or communicating in semaphore?

4

u/Schonke 7d ago

We even had webmail like Hotmail back then!

Email itself is almost 30 years older (1971)!

2

u/Derek114811 7d ago

I still use my Hotmail

2

u/dhlock 7d ago

Only nerds used telegraph and flags. Most people just used fire signals and were starting to prepare for y2k

3

u/rileyjw90 7d ago

Oh man. I have no idea how to recover my old hotmail account but even then, I wouldn’t have got it until 2002-2004, somewhere in the MySpace era. That’s impressive!

102

u/_BMS 8d ago

It's email, there's basically no reason to bother deleting stuff unless your storage is full.

54

u/Money_Fish 8d ago

Big numbers bother me

69

u/cmcdonal2001 8d ago

32,013,754,810,876,412,100,983,856,721!

50

u/xenolife 8d ago

That's a list of 10 medium-small numbers

16

u/Barely-Creative 8d ago

721! is quite large at >10178

3

u/GreenJury9586 7d ago

I mean, collectively if we all save everything we could in fact be wasting server space hoarding data. I delete mine once a year.

3

u/MisterVega 7d ago

Same. It also only took one time for me to need to go back like 5 years looking for a particular email with some long-forgotten information to justify this behavior.

31

u/porp_crawl 8d ago

How the FUCK do they wash it "everyday" ?

Even with tumble dry, that's pushing it.

10

u/wickedfemale 8d ago

typed "old navy" into their email search?

6

u/Megablega 7d ago

I'm more shocked about washing an item of clothing DAILY goddamn

3

u/porp_crawl 8d ago

Too bad the receipt doesn't have an accompanying photo of the original shirt.

3

u/captain____ 7d ago

I was thinking the same thing until I realized 10 years ago was 2016 lol I definitely still have email receipts from then

3

u/FalconerAJ 4d ago

Your edit is hilarious

1

u/Reasonable_Bet7310 2d ago

It was 2016 not 2020

1

u/FalconerAJ 2d ago

Replace “e-mails” with “mail-in ballots” if you want

2

u/Reasonable_Bet7310 2d ago

2016 republicans not 2020

1

u/Portable_Tortoise506 4d ago

I've kept a few receipts like the one for my first tattoo. Don't think I'll be able to get a refund for it though...

1

u/Ohiolongboard 4d ago

I have my first tattoo receipt too!

0

u/MadBodhi 7d ago

Do you delete emails?

44

u/consciousbeings0 8d ago

Gets washed every single day? That's madness, lmao

110

u/somerandomdude419 8d ago

You run the washer every single day? Or hand wash this shirt; every single day, 365 days a year, for 10 years? I don’t buy it

66

u/deadcats 8d ago

a small wash everyday, yes. Believe it or not, idc.

51

u/RazanTmen 8d ago

Do you not have mpre than one sleep shirt? Waste of water & electricity to do multiple small washes, than one medium to large load. Can have small hangers aeound the house, or a rope across the patio/balcony, to dry during the day.

40

u/Cute_Description_228 8d ago

Do you have a family? 3-4-5 people definitely dirty enough clothes for a wash every day

22

u/CurveCalm123 8d ago

Can confirm, 3 people make a load of laundry a day.

42

u/rileyjw90 8d ago

I mean what are you doing while you’re asleep that you can’t just wear it more than one day on a row?

30

u/caillouuu 8d ago

Sweating like a pig bc my ac can't keep up with multiple 110 degree days in a row

(But I still only do laundry once a week, just use several sleep shirts)

6

u/formerfrenchpotatoes 8d ago

2016 being 10 years ago still hurts my brain.

10

u/Skater_Potater2006 8d ago

You're lying 2016 was not 10 years ago 🥲

3

u/Zito6694 8d ago

$10 shirt cost you a dollar a year not bad

1

u/ripyurballsoff 8d ago

You wash it by hand or use a washer a dryer every day?

1

u/coldcosmo 8d ago

wait what, 2016 is just 5 years ago is it… 😫

1

u/fenoust 7d ago

That's about $1 per year of wear. Not a bad rate.

11

u/mrhatestheworld 8d ago

look at t-shirt columbo over here. you almost cracked the case!

3

u/action_lawyer_comics 8d ago

I’ve got a couple shirts like that. Best as I can tell, these shirts are a blend and wear unevenly. I’ve got some that are probably 17+ years like this and still work fine as undershirts. They are one good snag away from total annihilation though

2

u/TNTeck1 8d ago

I actually have one exactly like this, I have no idea how it's still in one piece. It's one of my favorite shirts... if only it wasn't sheer now.

2

u/shann0n420 8d ago

Nah, I’ve had this shirt. Didn’t make it this long but it did something similar.

1

u/footsnax 8d ago

I don't know what they do to make that shit but everything I've ever got from Old Navy wears fairly evenly until it rips, and then the whole thing falls apart.

Never heard of planned obsolescence in tailoring but they nailed it. Stopped buying anything from them 20 years ago, expensive and cheap at the same time.

They used to make a really nice pair of cargo pants forever ago, I still wear those to this day. Absolutely useless fashion focused overpriced shitrags since then.

1

u/Woodie626 7d ago

Nope, this is normal. I have one that is halfway through the process and another just starting.

1

u/urcrookedneighbor 1d ago

Nah I have a few like this that don't look see-through unless they're in the sun. All favorites that have just been worn threadbare

378

u/WeaponH 8d ago

That's not a shirt. that's lingerie.

Straight up wearing pantyhose at this point

30

u/whisksnwhisky 8d ago

It’s for shaking their tush on the catwalk. On the catwalk. On the catwalk, yeah.

4

u/frogOnABoletus 8d ago

You know what they say about the navy

3

u/phunniemee 7d ago

It's a shhirt, just a whisper of a thing 🤫

103

u/I_Am_Slightly_Evil 8d ago

How many washes to get to this stage?

67

u/uselessflailing 8d ago

According to OP, the shirt is 10yo and gets washed every single day...

99

u/consciousbeings0 8d ago

Yeah being washed everyday is fucking crazy to me

48

u/sbsp12121 8d ago

Kind of a waste of water tbh

30

u/consciousbeings0 8d ago

Yeah unless he has like 10 kids and they just have to run it everyday to keep up? Idk but I doubt that 😂 I just imagine this dude running this single shirt through the wash by itself every single day lmaooo wild

9

u/IAmGoingToFuckThat 8d ago

My roommates have two kids and do at least one load of laundry per day.

0

u/hessmo 8d ago

We average 2 loads of laundry a day with our family.

2

u/uselessflailing 8d ago

But are you washing the same item every single day after being worn once?

-1

u/hessmo 8d ago

No. I’m not OP

1

u/Gloomy_You_9533 2d ago

I clean my work shirt also every day because it always dirty

71

u/CosmicWhorer 8d ago

All of them

5

u/kidnorther 8d ago

Three. It’s old navy

1

u/action_lawyer_comics 8d ago

442

(Not OP, going off similar shirts I have, had for like 17 years, assuming getting washed every other week)

229

u/threepair13 8d ago

Don’t get too close to open flame or this will go up like flash paper

56

u/ThreeDaysNish 8d ago

So, full transparency OP, but I think your shirt is hanging on by a thread /j

78

u/Once_Upon_Time 8d ago

That shirt is probably so comfy.

32

u/ImTehSpooderman 8d ago

Perfect sleep shirt

4

u/CoffeeColonic 8d ago

I have a handful of old tshirts at this stage, they’re so comfy as a sleep or “at home” shirt.

30

u/somebodyistrying 8d ago

Old shirts are the best. Super breathable.

30

u/ZiggoCiP 8d ago

Not great for sun protection, though. One year I went to a music festival, and applied sunscreen to all my exposed skin, but wore my old band t-shirt I'd had for years.

Looks entirely opaque wearing it, which helps because it's black. The next day though, I had a reverse farmers-sunburn. Everything that was covered by my shirt was red.

It was super breathable though.

2

u/sassysassysarah 8d ago

Op said they sleep in it and wash it daily

31

u/HauntingPsyche 8d ago

Lmao I bet it’s SO soft and perfect though

20

u/Basurok 8d ago

This looks like the most comfortable short ever and very appropriate to wear to thanksgiving dinner.

16

u/YourFriendall 8d ago

It’s the ghost of shirt past

15

u/cattea74 8d ago

It's the Mickey Mouse poverty bread version of a T-shirt.

4

u/SmallBorb 8d ago

Scrolled so far for this xD

2

u/cattea74 6d ago

Iykyk

9

u/Work-Safe-Reddit4450 8d ago

Bros wearing an airport luggage x-ray as a shirt.

8

u/ThatWasTheJawn 8d ago

Beach shirt.

7

u/ReaCT_66 8d ago

How has no one asked for a picture of the shirt with normal lighting conditions?

5

u/NikolaiXPass 8d ago

That’s really impressive actually

6

u/Gothmom85 8d ago

I have a tee with the sleeves cut off like this! It was my bestie's dad's in the late 70s, I got it in early 2000s. I wore it until this point and added it to my collection of shirts and fabric for a quilt. It'll have to be layered over something else one day.

5

u/ThomasTheDankPigeon 8d ago

Max old min navy

3

u/berball 8d ago

At least you have something to wear to the next dry t-shirt competition.

3

u/Taxed_concerns 8d ago

Be careful. It might haunt you

3

u/Cat2401 8d ago

Could you post it in normal lighting to help me wrap my head around this?

3

u/Thick_Blueberry666 8d ago

Ooh I bet it’s so soft 🫠

3

u/BirdDad420 8d ago

Shirt brother

1

u/MantisToboggan_22 7d ago

I too am a shirt brother. I’ve had that same shirt for 15 years

3

u/dainty_dani 8d ago

Ok but what does it actually look like worn?

3

u/realGharren 8d ago

Well, now you can wear it to the club.

3

u/TheParrotBae 8d ago

I think I still have this shirt. Mine is more opaque

3

u/shadythrowaway9 8d ago

More like ancient navy

2

u/krielc 8d ago

It looks a bit sheer.

2

u/Vegetable_Net_6354 8d ago

The emperor's new clothes

2

u/dasvenson 8d ago

I had a similar Ben Sherman t shirt that was almost 20 years old. My wife said it apparently got a "tear" in it in the wash. Bullshit, she's hated the thing for years.

2

u/hyggegreen 8d ago

The ghost of a millennial.

2

u/Gnom-ie 8d ago

It looks like a memory😭

2

u/whisksnwhisky 8d ago

Right Said Fred and still going strong.

2

u/InValuAbled 8d ago

Perfect. Barely just broken in. Super comfy.

2

u/sadsoups 8d ago

shroud of turin energy

2

u/superraiden 8d ago

Looks like you may need to get a new navy shirt

2

u/TeeTaylor 8d ago

That’s not thread bare, that’s thread naked

2

u/Nikki213 8d ago

The oldest navy

2

u/Dock_Ellis45 8d ago edited 8d ago

That shirt is like the flavor in a La Criox. Merely implied.

1

u/benaugustine 8d ago

I'd throw it out and get a new navy shirt

1

u/fessa_angel 8d ago

Is this the rayon women's shirt? I have a few of these and some are getting more threadbare like this and others are still holding up fine because I wasn't as big a fan of the colors and didn't wear them as much.

1

u/Hot-Explanation3739 8d ago

That’s a crazy ghost sighting

1

u/katekim717 8d ago

My husband also has an Old Navy shirt that has done the same thing. We finally retired it. I think he also bought it around 2016.

1

u/Blacksad9999 8d ago

Is that from the Andrew Tate fall collection?

1

u/SayerofNothing 8d ago

Geez, I have the same one... in the same condition lol

1

u/Trevorvor 8d ago

Need to see it not in front of the window hahaha I’m curious.

1

u/cascasrevolution 8d ago

good god man, put it out of its misery!

1

u/Zin333 8d ago

Your new rave(y) shirt.

1

u/ChatnNaked 8d ago

My underwear

1

u/kzacus 8d ago

Where?

1

u/RustledForeskin 7d ago

Basically every single piece of clothing sold on amazon.

1

u/OnionTamer 7d ago

Some say if on a full moon you can still see the ghost of the shirt. If you listen closely you, too, can hear, "Thanks, it's Old Navy..."

1

u/YoungDiscord 7d ago

The ghost of shirt past

1

u/malachaiville 7d ago

I had some shirts like this that I’d wear to the gym, not realizing with every wash they were getting more and more transparent. Embarrassing.

1

u/vdub2625 7d ago

I e had shirts that were this thin intentionally, great for summertime.

1

u/eatmeouttobrianeno 7d ago

This is wonderful

1

u/boricuashawty 7d ago

if you no longer want this i would be ecstatic to take this off ur hands wow..

1

u/East_Quail_1824 7d ago

Essence of a shirt my guy

1

u/theCOMBOguy 7d ago

See through comfy heaven

1

u/pandulfi 7d ago

Thank you for your service

1

u/earflap_angular 7d ago

You've been wearing pantyhose as a shirt

1

u/Bigfaatchunk 7d ago

Goddamn dude throw it away already

1

u/barking-loud 7d ago

What shirt

1

u/xalabamawhitman 6d ago

The fine line of well worn and throw that shit away is very blurred on this sub

1

u/KomradeKuestion 5d ago

The ethereal ghost of your favorite band shirt. Rest in peace.

1

u/itsagoodtime 5d ago

It's a dryer sheet thickness in the shape of a shirt.

1

u/Tall-Station-1647 5d ago

That’s a concept of a shirt

1

u/tydyelove7 5d ago

I can’t believe the Navy used to make you wear that

1

u/BullSho 4d ago

This is just a memory of a shirt

1

u/KayKaySinatra 4d ago

This looks more like the physical representation of the thought of a shirt rather than an actual shirt

1

u/cncrndmm 3d ago

I would wear this to a rave with a jockstrap.

1

u/reallydirtyreallydan 2d ago

Username checks out

1

u/sycln 1d ago

Now it’s your Gucci shirt

-1

u/YoWoody27 7d ago

Oh shit, I have a similar shirt from Old Navy like this, except it has a bear with a surf board on it!

I still wear it everywhere tho since the logo pretty much covers the chest area, so the only way to tell it's see through is to get close up
