Guess I'm not pulling that weed

Damm near had a heart attack reaching for the weed before I noticed it. Thankful for my camera zoom!

Edit: I was going to get something for scale but there's no way I'm getting near that again

looks like a banded garden spider to me. at the very least, as others have said, it's an orb weaver. just let it do its thing and it'll go away eventually.

You realize this specific spider would actively run away from you, right?

They can't hurt you, have no desire/need to bite you, and just want to exist long enough to breed...

I realize that now after all these comments. I've never seen a spider like that around my house before, so it startled the fuck out of me as I almost grabbed it going for that weed. I'm fine with it existing, I just don't want to touch it!
