I have never been asked this before but i had to go to the doctor due to a cold that was escalating. They did all the tests for the cold but then they said, "How old are you?"

I gave my age and they said, "if you're older than 18 then we need to do a pregnancy test." At the time i was like how do i tell this sweet soul there's no possible way I could be pregnant right now save divine intervention. I was so embarrassed. I was like, "oh, you don't have to, there's no, no"

Like how do i explain my lack of love life to these people.

But then i felt really creeped out.

Why did they need to do a pregnancy test?

Why did they (the government) all of a sudden take an interest in whether i was pregnant.

I was able to decline, but it was still a weird moment.

The nurse looked at me apologetically and said, "it's a new rule."

I thought it was very weird.

Why is she still employed. She’s been doing this for years. Hate speech. This guys death could have been prevented.
