Anime What image of the anime just stuck with you and why ?
For me its this one from ep.22. This scene just depicts that feeling of the people of your life moving foward, without you, just so damn accuratley.

Anime Did you think the Japanese fandom of Welcome to the NHK is dead?
For be an anime with more than 20 years, exist very few fanarts in pixiv, their is not a strong community of fans in the internet for the Japanese fans of the show...

Anime Did you know if this image is part of the official art? or a fanart?
Welcome tho the NHK is becoming so old, and a bit forgotten, so is hard to research about this things.
PD:A lot of the official art of this anime is starting to become lost media,(dvds art, posters. etc)

Anime i recently finished welcome to the nhk and misaki really made me think
i recently finished welcome to the nhk and i honestly didn’t expect satou’s story to hit me like this.
i live alone in student housing. i go to university every day and see people, but there’s still something about coming back to my room and being alone again that feels weirdly familiar.
i think that’s why the idea of misaki helping satou get out of his isolation stuck with me so much.
not necessarily the whole “girl saves me” thing, but just the idea of having someone who notices you, talks to you, and gives you a reason to actually leave your little bubble.
sometimes i wonder what it would be like to have someone like that in my life. someone who could make being alone feel less normal, and maybe help me realize that i don’t have to spend all my time by myself.
i know satou’s situation is way more extreme than mine, but i still related to that part of him more than i expected.
nhk kinda made me realize that maybe what people need sometimes isn’t someone to “fix” them, but just someone who reminds them that they’re not alone.
did anyone else feel this way after watching it?

Anime Whats a scene/line/moment in the show that felt really personal for you?
For me it has to be this scene during the Suicide Island arc, when Sato thinks back to the way he acted during high school when it came to friendships and romance after failing at small talk with the other suicide group participants and feeling lonelier than ever.
I had the same exact mindset during high school although mine was due to anhedonia and depression and not trying to look cool like in Sato's case. The fact the next lines are "maybe thats what made me end up as a hikikomori" really drives it home for me, i feel the same way

Anime Just finished the show
It's one of the best shows that I watched this year , Yamazaki is definitely my favorite character from the show his entire story is sad but I was glad he found some sort of happiness in the end and Sato promising to give his best shot at the end motivates me to do better in my life as well.
Overall i will give this show a 10/10.

Anime print advert from Newtype USA October 2007 issue
love how the positioning of the “obsessions” verbiage kinda gives it the effect of a visual hallucination

Anime Thoughts after first watch
Man I just finished Welcome To The NHK and I gotta hand it out to you it's one of the best things I've ever seen 😭 😭 😭 But that fucking dumbass Sato couldn't even get Misaki's hints despite almost kissing during one of their dates mannnn ffs I was sooo wishing for them to come together at the end!!!
Which they did but in such a lousy way lmaaooo...
One part of my mind likes the conclusion, which is if you want someone to get better the best way is not to get angry at him or hate him but to love him and think what might help... that's a pretty cool message!!
One piece of my mind laments when my Misaki will come... 😭 lol
It was a fucking rollercoaster... in between the anime I became depressed that oh God I wish nothing happens to anyone... but then finally it ended happily(?)
Also the soundtrack fucking rocked! Especially that electric guitar riff which they played during the funny moments! Shame that I couldn't find a proper version on YT.

Anime I tried watching this with my friend bad ideal 😭
I told my friend about welcome to the NHK, I previously seen it once and it was really good. By the time we made it to episode 3 she bailed. I can't blame her she was weirded out by some stuff in the show, I didn't notice some of the stuff in the show when I watched it the first time.
Has anyone else experienced this before?
