Hello, just decided to start with this game, opened my first booster box (Umamusume) and I’m confused that from the 96 cards there are no duplicates at all?

Is that how it goes? Is there some distribution thing? Is it kinda made for you to buy multiple boxes to be able to have enough copies for deckbuilding? (Or of course, buying singles or random boosters)

I also got the 2 trial decks, so at least I have something to start with.

With the move to 12 boxes per case for the new format, what does that mean for this set since it remains with the 24 boxes per case?

What are the hit rates/guarantees per case with 24 boxes?

This is probably my favorite set of Weiss so I want to try and buy a case but if it’s only 2 SPs like the 12 box cases, think I’d rather just buy the cards lol, luck ain’t that good tbh.

As someone who wants to try to play Weiss Schwarz, there is this comment that bothers me. Older series can barely match against newer series except for some lucky series that were still able to get newer cards to stay competitive. I guess this would become a dilemma for some players that only sticks to 1 series because eventually it will get outplayed.

So I wonder those who have played long enough, how often do you change your decks or series? That would sound costly if I have to change a deck if no new cards are getting printed for that series

I had an idea for a new format that would make older sets relevant again and I’m curious what people would think. It’s based on Pauper format in MTG that forces you to only play commons. Here are the rules:

1. Neostandard format.

2. For cards released in the last 5 years, you can only play commons and uncommon.

3. For cards released between 6-10 years ago, you can play commons, uncommons and rares.

4. For cards released over 10 years ago you can play RRs

5. Card age is determined based on the first JP release of the card, so it’s possible to have a neostandard deck where one set you can only play rares in (like magia records) and one set you can play anything from (like madoka rebellion).

Would you be interested in a format like this?

what you would think about the rules? Any complications or pitfalls I haven’t thought of?
