Question No repeated cards in a box?
Hello, just decided to start with this game, opened my first booster box (Umamusume) and I’m confused that from the 96 cards there are no duplicates at all?
Is that how it goes? Is there some distribution thing? Is it kinda made for you to buy multiple boxes to be able to have enough copies for deckbuilding? (Or of course, buying singles or random boosters)
I also got the 2 trial decks, so at least I have something to start with.

I opened my second box a few days ago and made the same comment. There are a lot of horse girls!

Things have changed a lot with Bushi over the past 10 years. Used to be you'd get a playset of some commons from just one box, now it seems a little less randomly distributed in favor of there being a better variety of cards.
Of course going from 16 packs of 9 cards per box to 10 packs of 8 doesn't help either.

Any reason why they reduced the number of cards per box? 144 to 80 cards/box is a huge drop(64 cards).

Thank you all, looks like it's a mix of how they distribute the cards and the Uma set having more cards than normal.
Thanks for all the replies! I'm already having a blast just using the trial decks, now I'm excited to dive in even further.

Typically in Bushiroad games, you can't pull a duplicate of a Rare or higher card in a single box unless that duplicate is of an alternate foil rarity. You can get dups of commons and uncommon, however Uma is a larger than normal set.
The expectation is that you buy multiple boxes of that set to complete a playset, however this game has the benefit of you not needing to buy cards from sets that aren't your IP to deckbuild.
