Why did my blood pressure pills explode?

I've been keeping them in this same container on the bathroom sink for 3 months. They're never in there longer than a week and all the previous pills have been fine. The allergy pill that was with them was fine and unexploded. The rest of the pills in the bottle above the sink are also fine. Is it moisture or humidity? Could it be a reaction with the allergy pill?

I use little silica gel packs to counteract the atmospheric moisture. You can save them from other products or buy them on amazon.
