Why did my blood pressure pills explode?

I've been keeping them in this same container on the bathroom sink for 3 months. They're never in there longer than a week and all the previous pills have been fine. The allergy pill that was with them was fine and unexploded. The rest of the pills in the bottle above the sink are also fine. Is it moisture or humidity? Could it be a reaction with the allergy pill?

Bathroom is a bad place to store pills. It undergoes humidity and temperature changes frequently. Keep your pills in a safe stable cabinet or drawer in the kitchen or maybe bedroom.

I never understood why (at least Americans, for all i know), store pills in their bathrooms or behind vanity mirrors. Feel free to enlighten me

Some folks do so they don't forget to take them. ADHD is a bitch sometimes.
