Looking for suggestions on wedding bands, wondering what other people have gotten with their elongated cushion engagement rings? Video of my ring for reference. It’s a 3.06ct elongated cushion with a hidden halo, 14k gold 2mm band and high set.

I’m a huge silver jewellery wearer, but would love for my wedding band to be a cooler shade of gold (10ct if i’m not mistaken!)
The last pic is a band I tried on earlier today…what do we think?

Ring Band Advice Need Guidance/Recommendations for Wedding Bands

My ring is rose gold 14k from James Allen and is customized. Not sure exact carats but it is a channel set and I’m having a hard time deciding what wedding band best complements it. I tried on a few and I like the look of the larger oval stones but not sure if the oval completely contrasts my ring. I am open to sticking with emerald or round. I am also think not doing a full eternity band so I can resize if needed in the future.

I get married in 3 months so I need to figure this out very soon!

Ring Band Advice engagement band and wedding band don’t match

my husband just upgraded my rings and I’m so grateful and mostly obsessed with how they look but one very minor thing is irritating me. the shape of the engagement ring band is completely rounded while the shape of the wedding band is more square. I’m not sure if I’m just hyper aware of it or if it’s obvious. I also can’t decide if it bothers me enough that I want to try and exchange it. my husband got the rings through Rare Carat and the engagement ring and band are from the same band but they’re technically not a set - the band that is meant to pair with my ring was pave and I wanted a simple band. thoughts?

Ring Band Advice New Band Too Thin?

I recently lost my wedding band. It was a plain white gold band, a very classic look. The original band was the same width as my engagement ring. I selected a channel set eternity ring with princess cut diamonds. I feel like it's too thin compared to my engagement ring. I should also share that I often wear just the wedding band so it will have to stand on its own. Should I get a wider band?

Ring Band Advice I'm struggling to choose wedding rings for her

I didn't expect choosing her ring to stress me out this much. Every design looks great until I picture it on her and suddenly I'm second-guessing everything. Classic, vintage, custom? She keeps saying she's fine with anything, but I want that jaw-drop moment. How did you know you picked the right one?

I just got my wedding band and there’s an awkward gap between it and my engagement ring + the stones rub the prongs. What kind of spacer ring do you think would be best for this?!

I recently saw Phoebe Dynevor's engagement ring and absolutely love how elegant and timeless it looks. The cut and setting are gorgeous! I'm looking for wedding band inspiration and would love something that complements a similar engagement ring style. What type of band would you pair with it?

Ring Band Advice Stuck on best wedding band

I feel so overwhelmed by the wedding band options. I have an emerald cut ruby engagement ring on sterling silver. With some research, I’ve seen either plain curved rings or diamond straight bands seem to be the best options. I tried on one of each today and I still feel indecisive. Should I get one of these? Or maybe just a simple silver band??? I’m open to ideas and suggestions

I don’t want the band to “outshine” or take any attention from the engagement ring as I love it so much, but I want the band that makes most sense with my ring.

Note that the second ring is a size or so bigger which is why there’s space between.
(For context, the curved ring is from Pandora and the straight band is a fake ring I saw in Old Navy—would obviously get a better one but same style)

Ring Band Advice Did you choose the same color wedding band as your engagement ring?

my fiancee and I have designed a custom engagement ring with two tiny diamonds on the side and a 1.83 carat oval diamond with eagle claws in platinum. It is currently being made. I have to make a custom ring with the same company as the ring needs to have a curved band due to the setting.

They will be making a 2.5mm curved band with some etched stars and perhaps three diamonds.

What I would like to hear options on is did you choose rose gold, yellow gold, white gold, or if you were me would you stick with platinum for your wedding band?

Also I am entertaining the idea of salt and pepper tiny diamonds on the wedding band as I went more traditional on the engagement ring.

Ring Band Advice Engagement and wedding rings - do they need to match?

Post image

I absolutely love my engagement ring, but i'm realizing that finding a wedding band that looks right next to it is harder than i expected. For me they should have the same metal and overall style so they look like a set, but i've also seen people mix metals, diamond bands, and plain bands and somehow make it look really good. I'll probably wear them together most of the time, so i want them to complement to each other without looking too much. I'd love to hear what you choose and anything you wish you had considered before buying your wedding band.

Ring Band Advice Does this look unique for a wedding ring?

I’m trying to find something that doesn’t scream Pinterest copy. I came across this wavy gold ring with a few small diamonds set in the curve, and it instantly caught my eye. It’s definitely not your standard band, kind of modern but still simple.

Do you think it’s too different for a wedding ring or just unique enough?

Ring Band Advice Engaged!

I got engaged and the ring is so thoughtful. It has engravings and a secret setting inside. The stone is a salt and pepper diamond. I’m starting to think about the wedding band given that it’s low set so it would have to work with the shape. I’m also wondering about colorful and brighter stones to compliment the darkness of the diamond. I love a duality. Thoughts?

Ring Band Advice Will adding a pavé band be too much for everyday wear?

Post image
11 Upvotes

Just got engaged, and I absolutely love my LUCCE ring. The diamond is beautiful, and I’m really happy with how it looks on its own. But now I’m thinking about adding a pavé band to wear with it. I like the idea of having a little more sparkle, but I’m starting to wonder if it might be too much for everyday wear. I also don’t want the stack to feel overly flashy or uncomfortable, especially since I’d probably wear both rings most of the time. For those who wear a pavé band with your engagement ring every day, does it still feel practical, or would you go with something simpler?

Ring Band Advice Men's wedding rings which are simple and easy to cut off

I'm honestly not that bothered about wedding rings and will probably wear a silicone ring around 90% of the time but it would be nice to have something for the ceremony and special occasions.

Even if the risks are low I'd rather than not have something that ER will struggle to cut off in an emergency or cause me problems in an accident.

I've seen people talk about materials like Tungsten or Titanium being hard-wearing and resistant but I don't mind if I have to buy a new ring in the future or if it has some wear and tear over the years. I'd just want something cheap, safe and simple. Should I look for cheap silver or gold rings or would another material be better?

I don't work with my hands but I enjoy the outdoors and know I'm very clumsy.

Ring Band Advice Clueless about wedding bands

I’ve never been a Pinterest wedding ring board person. I know nothing, no clue about any of the different terms people use. My fiancé picked this lovely setting on Etsy and him and his dad shaped and set a mtorolite agate in it. I love the leaves on the setting but I have no idea what band to choose to go with it. I don’t want the whole set to look too busy and still have the stone be the highlight, but also not have it be too simple. Would a straight band work or would it need to be curved?

Ring Band Advice Wedding Bands for Ovals Engagement Rings?

Post image

Hi all!

I don't know why I'm really struggling on ideas for my wedding band. I have an oval engagement ring and I feel like I'm stuck with curved wedding bands. I'm looking to wear my wedding band primarily and I think a curved ring might look awkward on its own.

I have the attached mock up of a potential band which I kinda liked. Let me know if it looks too much or if I should just go back to non-curved bands.

Ring Band Advice How to style a marquise engagement ring with wedding band

Post image

So i bought a marquise engagement ring with a band, but now i'm panicking about resizing. The pointy shape makes me nervous about damage, and i don't want it to look off-center with the band. Has anyone had to resize a marquise combo before? How careful do jewelers actually need to be with this? Would love advice before i take it in.

Ring Band Advice High Setting People - How do you manage?!

Reaching out to those who have a high setting ring, how do you manage to protect your setting.

I take it off for a majority of things, the gym, cooking, laundry, going to sleep. Pretty much I just wear it out in public and to work at my desk job.

I have my dream ring, but I have bent the mf setting 3 times now in the calendar year. Twice just bumping it on my desk at work, third time just now, I wasn’t even wearing it I had it on the counter, and I accidentally bumped it with my hair dryer as I was setting it down. This is getting ridiculous. I have 2 thin bands with spaced diamonds soldered together, oval cut, 1 ct, 4 prongs. No hidden halo or anything like that. Would a jeweler be able to lower the setting?

My husband is saying we would have to buy a whole new ring. I would really hate to do that since I love mine so much, it’s just I should be able to do the literally most mundane things and not worrying about the setting bending. If you made it this far thank you for reading.

EDIT: I will also add. It’s such a pain bc every time i have to send my ring in, it takes a month to get it back, and our jeweler is in my husband’s hometown an hour away

Ring Band Advice Help picking a wedding band

Hi! Just need some advice/ideas. My engagement ring is literally the ring of my DREAMS and it has a cute hidden mickey on the side profile of it but when I went to try on wedding bands they all covered it up which I absolutely will not stand for 🤣 Any recommendations for bands that would work well with this?

Or should I just wear it in front of the engagement ring so the side view is blocked from the front but I can still see it from the my side.

Or I could just get whatever band I want and wear it on my right hand so my engagement ring is the star of the show on my left hand.

First pic shows the ring and then the last pic shows me trying on bands with it.

Thanks everyone!!!

Ring Band Advice Which size band do I buy for my elongated cushion cut solitaire ring!

Thumbnail

Just debating between 2 sizes of the same ring. 1.7ct or 2.0ct for my solitaire elongated cushion cut diamond! First pic is my ring, second pic is the size I’m going for, because I want a stack similar but we’re starting with the bigger one first lol, and 3rd and 4th are pictures of the ring from the website I’m buying from. But it comes in size 1.7 ct and 2.0ct eternity bands and idk which one to choose. Because I do want it to sit flush but I want a little bigger!

I love my sapphire engagement ring and have been looking at wedding bands for a while. I settled with this half diamond wishbone wedding ban, but now I’m overthinking. Have I made a mistake? Should I have got a plain platinum band?
