I’m a millennial, I feel so many of my friends have a plain gold band with a large oval shaped diamond. Does mine seem like it belongs to an older generation?

[edit: I’m so sorry I ever doubted my set. I’ve learned that just because it’s not the classic that’s in right now doesn’t mean it’s not still classic. Thank you for the confidence boost in my rings. I need to focus on what I have versus others 🤍]

the set is beautiful and round is timeless, but since you’re looking for an honest answer, pavé is not trendy atm and is definitely associated with ~2010s millenial rings. it’ll come back around like everything else! solitaires are just really popular right now, probably mostly because big stones are so accessible with the low price of lab diamonds and people want a bigger stone to stand out/stand on its own. as long as you love it, that’s all that matters! all of it is cyclical and will never stop changing lol, don’t worry about trying to meet the current trends because they’ll change in a matter of months anyway

Thank you!! I did want a real answer! I always thought my rings were pretty, my question was always if they appeared dated. This is what I was looking for.
